What is your definition of Jim Crow? SIDE NOTE : It is shameful how both whites and blacks in America use illegal drugs roughly the same but it is blacks who are more often incarcerated for their use. Because of this and other reasons I support the legalization of drugs. 2. I do not understand if all countries have prisons why only American prisons would be examples of Jim Crow. For you would you favor closing down all American prison? SIDE NOTE : I for one am very worried about the trend of having for profit prisons and the growing examples of the companies that own these prisons using their influence on politicians to increase prison terms. 3. This section of NYC is mostly populated by blacks because they choose to live there. My friend who moved into this neighborhood is a white immigrant form Russia. If blacks choose to live in a neighborhood why is this different then whites choosing to live in a given neighborhood? Not to mention, my Russian friend did take a risk by being white and moving into this mostly black neighborhood. 

+NYCAustinNYC well number 1 yes they are included in the new Jim Crow. However it's mostly blacks who are systematically destroyed for the purpose of keeping the black community down. Number 2. No. No nation has had Jim Crow except for the America. Also the Constitution speaks to the laws of this land(being America). Therefore it doesn't apply to other countries. 3. That's not segregation. In no part of your last statement. That's called protecting yourself. I'm talking about the living situations where ppl now choose to live around ppl who look like them.

Would you argue that every nation therefore also has Jim Crow?3. As a white person there are certain sections of NYC where I do feel comfortable going, especially at night. For example one time I visited one of my friends for a house warming party in a black section of NYC. I went to a local convenience store to buy some booze. While waiting on line an elderly black man asked me in confusion and implied fear for my safety why I was in that neighborhood. Would this be an example segregation? 

+Lavey1917 well slavery was side stepped in the 13th amendment where it says that slavery is prohibited expect for those are imprisoned. Which means prison is the new Jim Crow. As far as segregation is concerned ppl naturally do that on their own. Mostly out of fear. So even though legally segregation is prohibited it still takes place. Like when whites move out when blacks move in for example.

In fact Fox News supports it; You see them go nuts over Gun Back Round Checks saying ''it's against the 2nd'', but if Cops search Blacks for guns, Fox doesn't say that is against the the 2nd Amendment.  What do you think Fox Would say if Stop And Frisk Laws would go into effect in Rural Areas in the U.S,do  you really think they would be supportive of it then?No, they would be screaming ''it''s Violation of the 2nd Amendment''  

Stop and frisk wasn't a GOP policy but more of a police protocol . Second I never said I was in favor of stop of frisk because of a citizen of NYC I have seen the negative affects it those to the community.It CLEARLY violates the 4th ammendment

Your so ignorant , there is an amendment to the Constitution ( meaning change ) that makes African Americans citizens dip shit. Also more guns create more crime ....I am not against guns but it has to be regulated . It's gotten to a point that even a mentally ill person can obtain a gun. This has to change

Thanks for posting that! I've been a progger since prog began, and would've included HTM—if not placed them at the top—had I only known. Sad in one sense, but a thrill to discover at this time in music history when I was utterly convinced nothing other than the usual prog greats existed. The prog "window" was so relatively brief.
