He lives miles and miles from our countries. Therefore my advice was clear, before enlisting he must be resolved, because the chance of get killed is enornous and he has an entire life to live with girls, studies, social interaction etc...

But please beware, cause you said you are only 17, so talk with your parents, brothers and friends before made this decision. Today Syria is not a professional warfare front, but a truly meatgrinder, similiar to WWI. You have plenty of ied, snipers and SVBiED terrrorist tactics. Talk also with officers and syrian military to get know more about the fight you expect to take and finally, train a lot before entering the war, because it can save your life and turn saa more efficient against the wahabi militants.

I am Syrian, but I guess I am just honest, all TRUE Syrians (especially in Syria) think that they're scum, they come from Turkey, Lebanon etc.. What kind of stupid human would have ANY respect for a fighting age male who is running away and complaining that he isn't getting money for cigarettes, it's ridiculous, I am 17 and OUTSIDE Syria, in a "neighbouring" country, it's pretty awful over here, it's a Muslim country, they're racist, full of hate, we don't technically share the same traditions, Syria is much like Europe, you can drink in restaurants, date girls etc.. And I feel 1000% alienated, I am pretty sure that Europeans are open-minded, and we're much a like, but we just won't blend, not like this, with open borders, I guarantee you, a LOT LOT LOT of terrorists are right between them, especially that the main route is from Turkey, we saw how they shot down the Russian jet, they're 100% OPENLY pro-ISIS.I say every Syrian male, whose family isn't dependant on him, he is 100% well, aged 17-40 who doesn't join the fight with HIS country against rasical Muslims should be disowned, no Syrian citizenship for him, because he's techinally a traitor.
