Zach Ertz is the consensus #2 TE in this draft behind Eifert. Some even have him #1 ahead of Eifert due to superior size and more consistent blocking ability. I think you're underrating size and blocking ability at the TE position...Reed isn't as good as Aaron Hernandez, and he was a fourth rounder. The new norm at the TE position is 6'5+ with hands and either great blocking ability or great speed.

More consistent blocking than Tyler Eifert? Zach Ertz is HORRIBLE when it comes to blocking, he may even slip because of this.

If you watched them last year, it was their offense that let them down, not the D. Once Calvin got hurt, the Lions had nothing behind him and their offense faltered.  Stafford was forcing throws because his Wrs couldn't get separation. Behind Calvin they had no one last year, Durham and Ogletree are pretty much practice squad material, and they were the Lions no.2 and 3 receivers.

+MP197742 An 11% drop percentage is pretty good for a tight end. The highest drop percentage of any top tight ends tells me there is a decent TE crop. 11% is like 9 or 10 out of 100 passes. As for Pettigrew, Wes Welker and Brandon Marshall have a higher drop percentage. Not saying Pettigrew is awesome or anything but he's not as bad as you think he is and this kid will complement him nicely if we go two TEs.

Did you watch the video? It said he had the highest drop percentage of any of the top tight ends. So basically, he's Pettigrew Mark II. Can do the spectacular, but can't be counted on. I guess with a little Fauria mixed in, since he's not really even a tight end. Notice he lined up mostly at WR....

Yeah. The real deal. It also shows what bullshit Michigan's Mr. Basketball award is. Dane Fife won it and Antonio Gates was runner up??? LOL. This guy is a beast....................didn't even play college football and makes a huge impact in the NFL. Unbelievable. He deserves every single thing he has.
