What about roadways? I look around and as cities grow, roadways for both automobiles and trains spring up into the air, and virtually all of them are made from prefab prestressed concrete. Older bridges in rail and road projects are made by from wood truss but virtually all modern raised roadways are built with concrete. So are there any attempts to modernise wood in transportation? Do the numbers for emissions and energy usage you gave attribute roadway construction to the construction or transportation segment?
