Well because I love abookutopia and most of her videos, she doesn't spoil anything. And she did say she wouldn't. I was curious about what the 5th fave was. I saw the trailer everywhere.
while reading the book I remember I had no idea the military base was run
by the aliens before the reveal but I gotta admit in the movie it was
obvious since the beginning
For me it was the opposite. In the movie the shooting looked a lot more innocent than in the book. They held up their pointer fingers to motion to the mass murder of the adults and then the bomb totally gave away that they were aliens! In the movie in looked like they were defending themselves from the adults shooting
when my fiance and I went to see the mazerunner the scorch trials and that
scene where the guy gets scratched by the zombie like things and had to
shoot himself there was a group of teenagers were dying laughing in the
corner of the theatre........
I haven't read the books and, therefore, I was really, really confused in
the part when she came back to life. Like, what in the world happened
there? If anyone could explain that to me I'd really appreciate it.
Ok so...in the movie right before tris is escorted into the lab (right after seeing four) Peter inserts a serum into her back that will simulate her death in order for her to escape the compound. Peter feels like he owes tris for her not shooting him in her simulation. The book has a very different scene but that would be the explanation of the movie. :)
Yeah I just saw the movie and read the book like two weeks and the movie
didn't really follow the book at all! Just I was very confused to and mad
because they added a lot of stuff that didn't happen in the book! The box
was not in the book the message was not in a box it was in a harddrive that
Jeanine kept secret! The whole tris holding the gun made me mad! I just
wish it could of been better if it followed the book more! But I definitely
liked divergent better!!
I counted differences and I found 27 differences I'm a little disappointed
there was a lot of similarities in Divergent but so many differences in
Insurgent. I was so upset with the ending just a little bit. But I mean a
lot of people liked it but yet they didn't read the book. I expected so
many things but was a little let down. I agree with the director portion.
And to tie this comment up there was not a box it was just a file of
papers.
no the part with everybody going to the fence thing did not happened. The only people who left was Tris, Tobias, Peter, and their friends. And yes she did in fact "Die" after the simulation.
I felt like a lot of the stuff that happened in the movie happened in the
book, I was even like remembering what was gonna happen throughout watching
it and my predictions were right lol, because it was in the book
+midnightcoalexpress All true but in the book Roth spends the time showing us Tris could see the good and bond from each fraction.(spoiler) Which is a part of healthy human nature. It's sad they went so far off course because it's suppose to be about her growth in the system and how she forms her belief from that.
+Mouj Hijazi I'm just really curious as to what book you read, because they generally changed the whole plot line from movie to book. Jeanine did NOT want the secret from the founders to get out in the book, in the movie she wants it to get out. And there was no box thing in the book that ONLY Tris or a Divergent could open. And no stupid device that can tell HOW divergent you are. Not to mention they completely took away the emotional aspect from the book because Tris had no PTSD and was waving around a gun just fine in the movie. Which was a HUGE deal in the book. Not to mention caused a lot of tension between her and Four because she was getting herself in all these dangerous situations and had no way of protecting herself. When Jeanine had her in the book she was just using her to test different serums and such. Not trying to open a frigging box where she had to pass tests for all five factions. Not to mention in the book she didn't show aptitude for all five just three, Dauntless, Abnegation, and Erudite
+Mouj Hijazi Sadly I didnt get that experience. It was good but it was a Hollywood take off of the story missing out on important elements of the storyline.
i really missed when the good dauntless go back to dauntless compound and
cover up all the cameras with paintball guns. and then everyone has a
paintball fight. it would have been a good scene to put in cause it showed
everyone having fun. i felt everything was a little to serious and they
needed to lighten up the movie up with fun scene.
YAS RIGHT? also when she was like high in amity when johanna gave her the peace serum
NARCOS Review - Netflix Original
If you like talking about TV, Consider subscribing: //bit.ly/HarnikTalks NARCOS is a Netflix Original that tells the story of Pablo Escobar and The Medellin ...
Loved the show. And I agree, some of the accents were not on point, but
everything else was pretty good. (I'm from Puerto Rico, so we have a lot of
influence from United States, we basically speak Spanglish)
+Giovanie Rodz Interesting to hear! I'm fascinated by people's takes on the accents on this show. My Mom watched one episode and had a hard time with Wagner's (Pablo) accent! She's from Uruguay. On the other hand lots of other people from plenty of other Spanish or Spanish/English speaking countries said the accents didn't bother them at all.
+Steven Serrano That's so interesting, I just showed this series to my Mom yesterday (she's from Uruguay), and right away she said it sounds like a Brazilian actor who had to learn Spanish! I didn't even tell her anything about Wagner Moura :)
So americans are complaining about reading subtitles? Guess what the entire
world has to do when you guys release movies and series xD thats how I
learned English when I was just a child, even child programs like disney
and nickelodeon ones were all in english and we got our language at the
bottom :P
+OLGMC Yeah pretty much the same deal for me, watching stuff with subtitles was a huge boost for my English. But it's a matter of habit, if you live in the US and never had to watch anything with subtitles, I can understand it takes some getting used to. For us it might be second nature and doesn't distract from the show anymore but for anyone who's not used to it, it can be incredibly distracting.
In my opinion (and I'm a native Spanish speaker from Venezuela) the show is
awesome, very interesting, I've learned a lot about those events because I
didn't Know too much about it. Some of the accents are not "very Colombian"
but the acting is really good, specialty from the guy that plays Pablo. -
En my opinion, excelente!
+Leonel Arteaga It's so fascinating how for some native Spanish speaks the accents were not an issue and some said they can't watch the show because of it. I agree it's an excellent show!
It took me a while to get over the fact that Steve Murphy looked like
Justin Bieber with a moustache in this show. Also, the real life Pablo
Escobar always seemed to be smiling and in a happy mood. Whether it was a
facade or not, he'd always be smiling in photos and videos, but the
portrayal of him in this show made him seem super serious at all times.
Don't get me wrong it's still a fucking awesome show! I adore these types
of crime dramas.
+NewCanadianTurtle Really? I dunno how you see Justin Bieber but okay? I dunno maybe I recognize Justin Bieber for how he originally looked rather than how he looks now, but whatever.
+NewCanadianTurtle I agree that's it's a great crime drama, plenty from the community suggested Patron del Mal for another representation of Escobar, I'm interested to see it for the comparison.
Someone mentioned they can't distinguish Latin American Spanish accents.
Gee, pay attention to argies speaking... its like Spanish if spoken with
Italian accent, influence of the huge Italian immigration to Argentina.
That also happens in some areas of Brazil btw
As some one that is not from an Native english country see people talking
about subtiltes, I have one thing to say, WELCOME TO OUR WORLD, almost
every one in the world use subtitles, for me I prefere then a lot than a
dubbed version, because I prefere to listen the original sound of
everything.
Some americans understand that only when they play games or watch anime.
You speak extremely well, trust me, I dind't know that you were not a native speaker, but that also explains why you have a so clear english, because most americans are used to theirs english use a lot of slang or abbreviation that if you don't live in there ( or in the same state) it will be difficult to understand some words or phrases, and I can easily understand yours.about the subtilte I get what you mean, and I too fell that, I usualy uise english subs because my reading is better then my listening, but even so is just funny to see then complaning about something that everyone suffers
+GabriP Well, it's the things you get used to, you know? I feel I speak English well (also not from an English speaking country) and that is in large part because I watch so many shows with English subtitles. I can't really blame Americans that are very used to seeing stuff without subs having a hard time adjusting. I do think it's great Netflix made that call anyway. When I watch anime I always worry that the subtitles don't actually capture what the story is trying to say, just like when I watch a show in English with Hebrew subtitles (rarely) the subtitles tend to miss the point completely.
I think General populous merica just isn't used to Spanish. they show is
excellent. I find the Spanish much easier of a language to have to
understand if reading subtitles
+Sauce Money While I don't speak Spanish myself, I come from a south american family. My Mom speaks Spanish with her brothers, and usually I'm able to generally understand the topic of the conversation. For some reason I couldn't really do that here, I had a harder time recognizing words. Still thought it was great and the subtitles didn't bother me.

I saw the plot twist video that you did, and my friend also recommended
this book and so I went and bought Red Queen. I can't believe Maven!!!!!! I
knew that either Cal or Maven would betray her. But when Made stopped
trusting Cal, I thought that was the betrail. So when I realised that it
was Maven who was the real traitor!!!! Oh My GOD! I literally fell of my
bed because I was so shocked!!!!
Just curious but does this book have sex in it? because I get emotionally
depressed and weak if I read that kind of stuff. could you please tell me
if anyone knows and has read it.
Spoilers. I thought it was pretty obvious that maven was eventually going
to betray them because it shows that maven is clearly the younger brother
who no one cares about. When the book described the whispers and their
abilities I'm like something smells fishy here. In never clearly states the
abilities until later when we learn the queen is able to read minds and
memories. But the explanation about how she can't read minds in a group
would make sense but wouldn't fit in with everything for example she could
still read individual memories and since she already held suspicions
against mare you would expect her to be watching her around the clock she
was to lenient. Plus If she knew maven was doing this you would expect her
to turn him in but she doesn't . This is how I found out maven was bad but
I didn't want to believe it now matter how hard I tried. But it happened.
I agree....something just wasn't right. I felt like Maven didn't really have a solid reason why he wanted to help the rebellion. And also when we found out the queen was murdered it was a dead ass give away Elara did it and she was probably going to do it again to the king and Cal so her son can be king
okay so i read this book a few of months ago in early september and wow i
hate fantasy; it's just not my cup of tea because i stick to realistic
fiction but let me tell you this is the only fantasy novel i have read that
i have actually liked--and i don't just like this book, i LOVE this book.
so this is a weird thing but i always listen to music when i read books and
i'm a hUGE fan of Halsey and i have been for a couple of years now and on
august 28th, her album Badlands was released and since i bought Red Queen
right around the time this album was released, i listened to the album the
eNTIRE time i was reading the book and even though it was just by chance
that this was the album i listened to while reading Red Queen, i'm SO glad
i did because the album kind of has this dystopian feel to it (if that's
even possible for an album) and i can't even explain it but this album fits
SO WELL with the book. so if you're a fan of halsey (or even if you don't
really know about her) and you haven't read Red Queen, PLEASE LISTEN TO
BADLANDS WHILE YOU'RE READING THE BOOK! there are a couple of songs in
particular from Badlands that fit ESPECIALLY well with Red Queen: Castle,
Gasoline, and Controli also know Red Queen is being made into a movie and i
rEALLY HOPE they use Castle as the song in the trailer/the theme song for
the movie! so even if you have read it, pleeaasee go listen to those songs
at least and hopefully you see what i'm talking about with the whole "this
album is kind of parallel to Red Queen and it fits perfectly with the book
and it should be like the soundtrack to the book" thing. sorry this
probably didn't make sense but...yeah!
Sasha! Based on your recommendation(s ;]), I ordered Poison Study!! :)
