only use it if you know a potential one timers coming from the other side
of the crease, it may set up a shot outfront but stopping a shot straight
ahead is easier than trying to get your butterfly slide across fast enough
to block the one timer, but you defintely want to try to move the puck to
an area where it would be difficult to get a good shot away, either the
corners, or away from potential shooters

wow these aren't even puck handling tips. anyone could pick up a stick and
"push" the puck 15 feet on clean ice. And don't even get me started on
"Intercepting passes". Lol the goalie is cheating, he already has his stick
out waiting for the pass. This isnt going to 'teach' anyone. Anyways,
expertvillage never fails to fail me.

@Draker73 I'm well aware it sucks. What does that have anything to do with
the fact that the goalie has Smith pads? He could be wearing custom V4's or
last year's 5K's and it wouldn't make this video any better or worse. The
brand of his pads literally has nothing to do with how bad this video is.

dear beginners: don't take your stick out of position just to break up a
POTENTIAL pass; it's a recipe for a sure 5-hole goal. If the pass comes
close enough where you can poke it away naturally, then do it. But don't
make a special effort to do it because you'll get burned.

Hey turco dude your right i kean hes probly a graet goaltender im also
starting to play goal in san antoinio texas so this means there is no
goalie camps around so i realy a lot on you tube does any one know what vid

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Why do everybody gonna be so negative about this? Im
gonna be a goalie here in a team in the comming winter! I this ''How to be
a goalie episodes'' helps me alot im practising every day on butterfly
stands and everything, please, be nice.

@Draker73 Just decided to watch this for a good laugh again, but don't
knock Smith pads, they're a really good company and actually their founder,
Pete Smith was a leading designer FOR VAUGHN PADS before he branched off.
This video still sucks though =P

what i wanna know is when the fuck in a game are you gonna have time to
just pull ur stich flat on the ice to make a pass thats what defence are
for and this is why ur still in the low level like me in higher level we
have hard passes across

depends what type of style you play. How many times a week you would play,
what level of hockey and how tall are you, Also how much do you want to
spend? dont worry even if you dont want to spend alot you can still get a
decent set of pads.

The only thing i'm having trouble with as a goalie is dumping the puck.
Being an inline goalie I can LAUNCH the puck but switching to ice I just
kinda do a little saucer pass. Any tips on how to improve the dumps?

I wouldn't go by all they say. Ive been a goalie since I was 6. 15 now and
you can tell it's a low budget crappy made video... smith pads? wooden
stick? no name jersey?

im a first year goalie.. and i want to knoe why you would want to knock it
out righti nto the middle like that?.. wouldnt the other team just be set
up perfectly?

nice vids glove is kinda in the wrong place and leg movements are a little
off but these would make good videos for teaching new goalies.
