this doesn't make any sense, cottontails have a different number of chromosomes than domestic rabbits (European rabbits) and therefore cannot have babies. Maybe Lucky is not a cottontail after all or she is a wild European rabbit. If you live outside of North America this would make sense.

Here is one of our New Zealand does giving birth. She made it look easy, popped them right out and they started feeding as soon as they were out.
