I just came to this video again and would like to point out a couple of things: 1) no 98 bucket seat Eldorados convertibles, more than 500 of these cars were ordered with bucket seats. It's an unfortunate myth that somebody started and for years has been circling around the internet with nearly every Eldorado owner with this type of seat claiming it, however it's not true. The Cadillac and LaSalle Club Research Museum has a copy of the factory original built sheet of nearly all Eldorados convertibles and about 500 of them show having built with bucket seats. The myth most likely started from Cadillac special ordering 99 Eldorados to be built by Pininfarina in Italy (called Eldorado Brougham) but these cars are completely different from the standard '59s. Most likely the 99 bucket seat thing started from here somebody confusing the two. 2) Eldorados did not come with this green color but you didn't need to pull special strings to get one. Although Eldorados had their own special colors all were also available in any other colors that other models were, just had to be specified on the order sheet. This specific car is a special order because of it's interior, not the exterior color. A special order car was something that you asked something to be modified and submitted along with your order and a larger deposit. Cadillac managers then reviewed and either approved or rejected the order, naturally if it was approved the car was built to your specifications.

I have the only other known 59 convertible in this factory green color, but my car is a Series 62 convertible. Mine is also special because it has a non-standard interior color.
