that doesnt look like a 428......plus the 428's have a "C" scribed into the rear of the block behind bellhousing.

Work done on the heads!Back in the late 90's at a detachment here there was a 96 Caprice LT-1 that had work done on the exhaust! that would also be considered a special.. that Caprice was only used as a highway car. pusuit car.I have a pic of that car somewhere in my files

yeah 1 of 4 pursuit specials here that was used by the RCMP!a plain 460 Police car wont perform as good as this one.. just an fyi

Nowadays common police cars don't go this fast. I have a friend that is a state cop, and when I asked how fast are their cruisers, I was told this. 1. Crown Victoria was the fastest at 130 mph 2. Tahoe 4X2 at 119 3. Tahoe 4X4 at 112
