sure is not a permanent fix, but it worked 4 me. I checked multimeter and found the wire with infinite resistance (maybe you'll need to know the values of working panel), followed it till its border and heated up 4 a few seconds. Now you got to press it with ur fingers (don't use too much strenght, you sure will crack it). If your problem is due to loose contact in the panel, you can fix it this way. Find, before heating randomly the full panel, the side with poor contact and work on it!!

This video helped so much. My 7" Dynamix screen started acting up a few months ago and I couldn't figure it out. Even swapped out the touchscreen controller with a friend's. The digitizer looked fine. After this video I looked closer and found that the one corner was the tiniest bit raised. I heated up the corner with a blow dryer and and pressed it hard till it cooled. Screen has worked perfect ever since.

hey so i got a xenarc 700tsv. i dont know enough about it. but i know its not working when i try to calibrate it. do you know what could be wrong? it recodnised it and worked (sortof) under windows "flick" drivers but it didnt let me do anything with xenarc drivers. is this what the fix is for? any info would be great!

Wooohooo ...... just repaired two China made 5.7" touchpanels. I ordered two samples for my project and both were DOA. Y axis (Y+ and Y-) showed no resistance in between them. heated both the Y axis conductors on panel with my cigarette lighter and both are working now withing 30 secs flat!!! Useful video. Thanks.

Thank you! I had managed to dent my Sony TX5 = touchscreen kapputt! Your video inspired me to light a match and put it to my screen. Like magic! It starts working for a couple of seconds. Just enough so i could switch it over to video mode!!! :) So happy right now!

would this work for my coby kyros 7" tablet that has a few cracks, the screen works just not around the areas where the cracks are? please respond asap bc it has been months now i am searching for a replacement and i cannot find any

I have a Coby Kyros MID7034 . Will this work if i kept dropping the tablet and wanted to repair the screen? Its not cracked it just has trouble when i try to touch something on the screen.

!!!!Dude! It Works! I swear! my itouch screen wasnt responding to touch, so then i used a lighter over the whole screenand added pressure, then it work amazingly! No joke!

Can you tell me how you linked that up to the screen? i like the way the computer shows the touch screen responding. Hope you can tell me.

Did you tried to use heat gun instead? Use of a lighter seams a bit drastic to me. I need to repair toughbook cf18 screen.

Hairdryer worked for me. Warmed the screen and the right edge buttons which were problematic work fine now.

O, sorry. I understood you wrong. A APK (.apk) is an file for android. This file is used for all android apps. I hope i explained it well

I just got one from ebay.. I turned it on and there was a green line across the top of the screen on the boot up menu, and when the the tablet booted up the line turned gray and it WONT GO AWAY!! lol.. These things arent made to last..My question is.. can this line be fixed? Or is this like a hardware issue? If so I will be sending it back..

I got one and am realy impressed with it as good as the wife £200 one on most ways but for the life of me It will not go on line with my broas band dongle or my dongle through a my fi hot spot. it dose great on our home wi fi, but what the point of a tablet if you can not use it away from home?????
