He has a very good pronunciation in French. We can tell he is not French but we cannot immediately guess he is German. I have some German friends in Paris and their pronunciation is much more tough.

Hi lisa .....if your painting a larger surface on furniture what i use is a Mohair 4 inch roller to paint. These can be used in oil based paints and really do leave a finnish that is very very smooth, and i just use a really fine bristled brush for any areas that cant be done with the mini roller, Harris fine bristled brushes are excellent dont go with the cheap brushes from your hardware store....it doesnt pay to skimp on a few more quid to get a nice finnish. I run my own business painting.

I thought that you always needed to prepare the surface by sanding or stripping even before the primer? will the paint really adhere long term without the prep step? I'd love to think it would to save time but i'm not convinced on such a smooth surface?

No surface prep, no sanding between primer and topcoat, I would like to see how this piece looks up close. But then I'd have to wipe tears from my eyes at the destruction of a beautiful wood dresser...those colors are awfull!

It's not about painting it white but priming before paiting new colour. The new pait will set better and the colour will loock as it suppose to.
