Last i read on the subject the police were really cracking down on street racing in general with harsher penalties and shit but that was written by people who still run the bait mountain roads in Gunma in their scoobys and rx7's. I also read that if you're a foreigner and get caught racing over there you're proper fucked haha!

+Michael Muhia yea it looks like a right laugh smashing your skyline or supra around some mad mountain pass, we got loads of good roads like that in england but its always bloody pissing it down with rain and i prefer doing it on a motorbike because of slow drivers and too many blind corners to do them in a car, but these Japs dont seem to give a fuck haha they just kamikaze round them on the other side of the road, ablosute mavaricks.

+Michael Muhia well, yeah, Dean got me, i took that part from Tokyo drift and ive done not enough research to confirm if its true or not, but yeah, in the US cops sees street racers as terrorists or bank robbers so they actually deploy big forces to arrest them all. In japan when a cop comes by its just a sign to tell the racers that the party is over, to please return to their homes.On the opposite side, if you want a legal high power street car, you will need to pay a shit ton of taxes.

+Dean Thompson not in japan it aint.Cops got more important stuff to do rather than to chase after people in cars having fun. They only chase people when they race on the streets or highway when its REALLY dangerous and even then its only when the cars are not faster than the cop cars.
