The Cookie Monster shows us (for some strange reason) that he is capable of eating more than just cookies?!? That's all good, since so much of what he tries to ...
I heard in interviews that Frank Oz often got crumbs on his hair while
performing Cookie Monster and seeing that bulldozer at the end with that
knowledge....just wow!
+Kriemhild Schwarzwald (Mitenmujin) Probably. Frank Oz said in an interview that when Cookie Monster made an appearance with Julia Child, they were baking something (probably cookies) and Cookie Monster apparently dumped all of the ingredients in his mouth causing a mess on Frank. When Frank was telling that story, he was apparently touching his hair as well to make sure nothing was in his hair. He must had done that EVERY time he was performing Cookie Monster whenever he ate food, lol.
That logo used to scare me as a kid. In this clip(with the faded colors and
the film pops in it),the Ad Council logo reminds me of the after aching
pain of getting hit in the eye, or when you drink something really cold &
hurts your teeth! Also, when it fades out how you can still see it(like it
was going to come back and grab you). I think that was what the marketing
geniuses wanted(to get our attention) & it works! Frankenstein,
Dracula,Freddie & Jason didn't scare me at all. It was the Ad Council
psas(child abuse,kalaka,uncf,keep it up,careers,lend a hand,NGR,red
cross.etc). It's weird, but true!
For Those Who Don't Know: The first logo for the Ad Council was a feather and a sword forming an X shape, the 2nd logo was a giant lower cased a, and this logo was first in use since 1973.
I see probably about a few comments on here asking when this commercial was
made. I have the answer to anyone to would like to know. This commercial
was filmed in 1974 at Staten Island, NY. Hope this answer helps to anyone's
who curious.
+Paul Tobar Thanks. I was 10 at the time and still remember this commercial because I wanted a digger (that's what I called that machine back then) to dump cookies on me.
Coooooookiiiiiieeeeeesssss! Ah, the days when the Cookie Monster was NOT
destroyed by the PC cops of society! If he wants to be a glutton, LET HIM
BE A GLUTTON! If he wants mounds and mounds of cookies, LET HIM HAVE HIS
COOKIES! And if you parents think he's a bad influence on their
kids...DON'T LET YOUR KIDS WATCH SESAME STREET!
It sounds to me like you're mistaking character development for political correctness, but since I don't wish to argue so close to Christmas, I'll let the matter rest.
+zvermilyer3 He is eating healthier than before and is displayed as a kinder, gentler monster. In the old days, he was a serious glutton of cookies, unhealthy foods, and inanimate objects. Plus, he used to trick Ernie into giving him cookies and he used to steal cookies. His character has gone through a PC change (but then again, what in this world hasn't).
put this in a blender with milk, ice, truvia, and MINT EXTRACT, blend...
just like mint chocolate chip ice cream or a shamrock shake... we'll worth
the overpriced cost!
