Awesome video! Sorry for you frustration! I know what that is like! A few
months ago I had a 5 hour delay out of LGA. Flight was supposed to take off
at 6:00pm but that turned into 11:00pm. Did not land at ATL until 1:00am.
Anyway just thought I would share that! Love landing at LGA such a cool
airport! Liked!

Another classic 727 video for you guys! My 80th video from YYC :D Here's a Purolator (Kelowna Flightcraft) Boeing 727-200F departing Calgary International ...
Thanks! What you saw were all the remaining 727s coming back after the contract finished :( Must have been a sad sight, I hope they'll all find work/homes soon.
WOW!!! That was a freaking AMAZING video my friend! :) Incredible capture,
phenomenal sound! Just awesome work!! =D The B727 is such an incredible and
beautiful classic, I am glad to see it flying still! The smoke trail from
this plane was awesome!! =)
They changed 10 to 11!?! :/ I wonder why they do that...
We have 11/29 at Newark -- it is our crosswind runway at a length of 6800
feet.
Our main parallel runways, 22/4's are 11000 feet long!
This is from my memory, so I'm not exactly sure -- is it true that YYC is
getting some really long runway that's supposed to be the longest in
Canada? 14k feet? Something like that... :P Or is it another airport?
+Boeingspotter1 Oh, sorry :P I should've said it clearer :)You definitely said it much more clearer! I understood it all :D Thanks for the comparison! =)
+CathayA340 -- Newark Airport Plane Spotting I got a bit confused reading your comment... ????? Lol Here`s what I know:-Info source is from Wikipedia-Aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings): 3rd in Canada with 240 000 (YOW has 160 000, Newark has 403 000)-Passenger traffic: 4th in Canada with 13.5 million (YOW has 4.5 million, Newark has 33 million)-This is all by year.-That`s it, that`s all folks! ;D
+Boeingspotter1 +dude8472productionsWow, YYC is busy! I hope YOW gets busier :)Which on the scale is YYC in terms of traffic movement?-Plane lands/touches down, and takeoff roll starts. Once plane that is taking off contacts departure and plane the lands is off runway, process repeats-Plane lands, and 1-3 min. after, a plane takes off-
+CathayA340 -- Newark Airport Plane SpottingYou are correct, sir :)The length of the runway will allow larger aircraft to fly to YYC, along with freeing up some congestion during busy periods =)
+Boeingspotter1 I think I know why...I did some research and it is because of YYC's high elevation -- at higher elevations, airplanes need more runway/space to takeoff/gain power =)
And it looks like I can reply again... Yippee! :DThank you so much man!! Really appreciate it :DThey changed the runway numbers last month due to the Earth's magnetic variation, which happens over time. YYC's 11/29 is 8000, which is also the primary crosswind runway. And yes, the new runway (35R/17L) will enter service in Spring 2014, which will be the longest runway in Canada :)
