It is odd though that, for a man who is not concerned about this issue, you search out videos where people discuss it as a serious issue. I agree with you though, there are things that neither of us can imagine, of course there's no room for a debate on a topic about things neither you nor I can imagine. You have a strange definition of self-interest by implying that my concern for the climate and the effect that has on the planet is a result of self interest. In fact I live in a part of the world where I have not felt the more extreme effects of climate change. Therefore your charge of self interest motivating my arguments is flawed.I believe the basis of your issue and opposition to climate change science is in effect a fear of old cold war fears. You fear climate change to be a "communist" or "leftists" plot, yet you provide only circumstantial evidence of such a plot, and one, which if true, would have been exposed by now with so many players involved.You made some points in your first post which at least were somewhat reasonable, but now in your last post, because you cannot make anymore arguments backed with reason, you attack me for having "personal" defects, and hold that up as proof that I am wrong. +krileayn It didn't happen in the blink of an eye, it's happened over a period of at least 50 years. First it was just a few screwy environmentalist extremists in the mid 60's who brought about what basically amounted to forced child labor under the guise of doing something good, called "Earth Day", first "celebrated" in 1970. By the time the mid 1970's rolled around, real and genuine progress had begun to be made (spear-headed by the U.S., btw) in cleaning up the atmosphere and the water from vehicle and manufacturing pollution to the point where today, that even with the increases in population since, the water and the air are actually cleaner NOW than they were in the mid-1960's.           But those real, necessary, and common sense changes were not enough for some extremists. Enter the beginnings of "The Eco-Hysteria Movement". A few individuals calling themselves "Climate "scientists" " of the day started to predict some really wacky shit to start happening, like the "Beginnings of The New ICE AGE" which was  heralded on the covers of BOTH of the two top weekly news magazines of record in the U.S. during that time, TIME and Newsweek. Since that caught the attention of the public so well, it was realized that it wouldn't take very much to get people to completely lose their shit, along with their common sense, by simply making outrageous claims. We've since seen it in other related areas too, like food and health. A few wackjobs calling themselves "scientists" make total bullshit claims like eggs, butter, and beef are "bad for you", and almost overnight entire industries were set back on their heels with absolutely no good justification.          The same's true with the environment. Al Gore, a politician with basically nothing left of a LIFELONG career in nothing but politics, after the 2000 election, somehow manages to convince those who doubt their own common sense and 4.5 Billion years of history, that the earth somehow (diagnosed by "Dr. Al") "has a fever", which, if "left untreated" will of course, irreparably (again, according to "Dr. Al") fuck things up for all of the inhabitants of Planet Earth. By now, the news and entertainment media have absolutely of course realized that "gloom and doom hysteria" SELLS very well, and that it takes next to nothing to make idiots completely lose their shit and open up their wallets, so that segment of society jumps on board the eco-hysteria crazy train because they can make a shitload of money doing so!       Human arrogance (motivated ultimately by greed, but that is of course never spoken of) being what it is, politicians and politician-dependent "climate scientists" set out to convince the public of the "dire consequences!!!!" if the temperature of the atmosphere ever varies, but that, LO AND BEHOLD humans can ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING TO LOWER THE EARTH'S "FEVER"!!!! by doing crazy shit like not using plastic grocery bags, or by somehow "burying CO2 in their backyards!!!!" The always and forever "altruistic" U.N. gets into the act eventually, with a scheme that would completely disregard sovereignty in making ridiculous "global carbon rules" which would of course only serve to take huge amounts of cash away from "the worlds largest POLLUTERS" (who also made it possible for the smallest and most impoverished nations to benefit from the latest cutting edge technology), and give it to tin-horn dictatorships.     It's not anything that's happened "overnight", nor was it anything like a well-organized "conspiracy", rather it's been a coalescing of various groups all with their own separate agendas, united not because of any concern for either real science or for "the common good", but for reasons fueled by simple greed in most of the cases and human arrogance that humans can change nature (for whatever the reasons, phony or not).My "vested interest" is in nothing more than good old common sense.The planet's been around for, give or take, 4.5 BILLION YEARS, and has gone through things that you and I can't even BEGIN to imagine, and it's come out of it pretty okay. That's a stretch mate. More likely that you have powerful Oil companies who first made a lot of money and then were able to buy scientists and right wing media to discredit climate change science, in the cause of protecting their substantial financial interests. You accuse the climate change people of being motivated by money, why do you think oil companies and the politicians they buy are not subject to the same motivation since they already have huge wealth to protect. If the Pope is not qualified to say climate change is real because he lacks the qualifications, what qualifications do you have to say that climate change is a hoax? I have no qualifications I rely on the consensus of scientists. I assume you defer to scientists in every other field of science yet in the climate field you perceive a conspiracy. What is your vested interest in climate change being hoax? Is the more important question. You basically described a conspiracy and I'm glad I was able to summarize your thoughts with one word, even though your argument is deeply flawed and typical of "conspiracy theorists"

+Hook Echo I read and understood a lot of the paper.  But I'm still dis-heartened that the data observed (in this case TEC maps) is not used by agencies to help populations prepare for sizable earthquakes.  Understanding more about earthquakes has even greater value when you can help prevent tragic death and destruction.

Technically those are electric fields, just related to seismic zones. Pulinets' descriptions in his 2005 book are outstanding.

+Hook Echo Perhaps earth's own magnetic field lines (the magnetospheric field lines that are already present) provide the pathway, the sub-surface connection from ionosphere, to atmosphere, down through the surface - to the fault line.  If that ionospheric plasma is a trigger mechanism (what your correlating) - and not just a co-incidence.  You need to show many more examples of these types of "ionospheric earthquakes."  More proof is needed.

+Hook Echo I read the article.  Interesting information.  Though it's dis-heartening to know that there can be a method to warn people of an earthquake - but it's not used.  Anyway, as for your correlation:  Since there is no mention of any fields located below the surface of the earth (based on the article), then how can an ionospheric plasma interact down through miles of earth to an earthquake fault line?  No fields below the surface, no tubes to travel downward.  How is the connection made?

+Warlanda I painted a Luna Moth on driftwood not too long ago! I used to watch them on our screen porch when I was a kid. I haven't seen one in a long time. Thank you for sharing. +Justine Virtue the Luna moths are my favorite!  they used to be everywhere when I was a kid!  I remember finding one wounded; I kept it in a tissue box for days, trying to nurse it back to health.  So much is gone from our area, especially in the mountains: Lady Slippers, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, chinkapins.  No one here can explain to me why the water level of the North Holston has changed so much...and we continue to pray, that has not changed.  Have a blessed day!

+kathryn caternolo we have noticed oddness with bees here in my section of Virginia; very few honey bees but other types such as wasps, yellow jackets and other in abundance. They appear more aggressive than in years past; it is very odd.
