Ahhhh... that moment when your hard work pays off and you hear your baby roar. Nothing quite like it, is there? My '48 was a work in progress for five years, and when I finally heard her Flathead come to life, I couldn't stop crying. Beautiful story, well told.

Hi Katie, I noticed you actually took the time to respond to some of the reactions written underneath the posting on Autoblog.nl (including mine ;) I use a different alias over there). That is really well appreciated. BTW, Google translate did the job quite nice. Chevy 350 engine in a Mazda Miata catches fire during start-up. This might just be the best way to "fire it up".

I used to saw plenty of BXs when I was very young but it was also the car stuck in my forever and I want one since I was 6 and it just looked unique,it's now so cheap to buy due to the fear of high running cost,well I think I'll join Citroen club very soon!

only 15 000 pieces of 16V were made..so its rare car today, and only few pieces is in good condition due to special hydropneumatic suspension, and servicing.. after overhaul the car is very reliable, comfortable (like limousine) and sporty.. ideal combination..but its too old .. Citroen is hiding a history of BX ,for manufacturer it was a not good car for his name, suddenly thanks to owners and not the car

Damn, what a guy. A genius and legend in the world of cars but still soft spoken and totally genuine. And you can just feel how much he loves his dad. That is a very special, VERY strong bond. The look on his face when he turned around and saw the truck. It didn't look like shock at all. Just pure happiness. You can't get any more adorable than Chip Foose. How could you not just fall in love with him. He's a total sweetheart.
