+jw200 Thank you.Yes they are. Never had any issues, although they can slide if there is ice on the ground. These are about 10yrs old and surprisingly enough have no cracks, chips, or even deep scratches. I absolutely love them and would recommend them.

+tracycolorado I have heard of good results using that method. But I have also heard rumours that is can sometimes wash away very easily during any rainy weather.

+mraccord92 Some of those layers can get quite thick if they don't have a way to wear off. It's not really hurting anything, but personally I like to have cleaner fender wells.

Thanks.  Some say leave it on its an extra layer that keep building, but I would think it would be better to eventually wash that on in the spring after the salt has been washed away for the summer and start with a clean surface for the rust proofing next year.

+mraccord92 Before or during the winter I would leave that protection on. But afterwards or before a new oil spray it can be cleaned. Normally what I do is use Spray Nine, apply it in the fender well, allow it to soak in, and then pressure wash it.

Indeed it is, also it is dangerous when heated up. You are better off using steam and a brush and also UNPLUG THAT BATTERY WHEN DOING THIS. Unless you like a closed casket funeral.

extremely, brake cleaner is mostly acetone and it will eat your plastics and rubbers

Start using this method every month or every other month and always change your oil every 3000-3500 miles and keep well maintained and you'll never have to worry about engine troubles

+BMAC VAGS I know all about water meth injection, i use it every day on my truck. But its more refined and mists the water, Your likely to blow crap up dumping water in like this.

+AnjinNes It depends. The first time I did this my oil became filthy. I had to change the oil a bit early. Now when I do it, the oil doesn't get that dirty since it's more like maintenance.

+namele55777 You don't want to water soak your air filter. It might choke the engine. Personally, I prefer small vacuum tubes after the MAF.

+Mike N I think I know what happened. That intake hose is letting too much air into the engine, or it's after the MAF and the engine thinks it's getting less air than it really is and it dies. You'll have to find a smaller hose on the intake instead of the intake itself. If you're already on the smallest hose you can get, keep it covered with your thumb or something when you're not spraying water in.
