Great vid! Also when you see soybean and millet in an animal's food you are seeing goitrogens! Goitrogens can be harmful to the thyroid in animals as well as with people. My older cat is just starting to show signs of hypothyroidism and I am wondering if it is because of the soy and millet in her (I thought) wonderful Organix dry dog food. If you freeze hamburger & other raw meat for 3 days you kill all parasites and it is much healthier fo ryour pet.

Seeing the ingredients on those bags, makes me wonder if the EU has stricter rules on pet food? I´m very focused on not feeding my two cats grain, sugar, preservatives, etc. so I have read most cat food labels out there:), and a lot of the chemicals/additives I see in this video are totally new to me. The yellow bag at 05:30 looks like Pedigree Pal, also very low quality here in Denmark, but not with so many additives?? Greetings from Denmark

Excellent, informative, life changing video. Thank your for being so clear. I have know all this for over a decade. It is sad to realize some sheeple dont read pet food labels. Also some pet food manufactures do unnecessary, cruel animal testing on their products. I choose not to support any manufacturer who does animal testing or whose parent company does the animal testing.

I love this - finally someone (with impeccable credentials) willing to speak in everyday terms about which pet foods to look at and those to run away from. Of course since I reside in Canada it might have been nice to have been mentioned as a possible source for some of these products as well BUT hey, that's my problem. Thanks Dr. Becker

Nice to see a vet that knows what she is talking about when it comes to food. The veterinarian I work for, while being great at the other parts of his job is not very knowledgeable when it comes to food and treats. Another product of no real nutrition classes taught in vet school.

@pimpablo this website really helps guide people towards the right type of pet food to feed your pet: Google this: dogfoodadvisor They go through and explain a lot of the ingredients in pet food. And they use Dr. Becker's videos a lot.
