What sets ēno apart from the competition is that we are offering a Forever
Warranty e3 environmental ceramicsteel surface that is completely
interactive, but doesnt require any wires or power.ēno combines all three
modes of teaching on one board:traditional dry-erase writing, use of
manipulatives for time-tested student problem solving, and interactive
performance.MBDC C2C Silver Certification and Indoor Air Advantage Gold
status, its the most environmentally advanced writing surface in the world.
Yes, the surface of the board has a forever warranty, there are no cords,
and it uses dry erase markers and magnets. The eno digital pen has a two
year warranty. If the pen were not working after two year warranty was up
the cost to replace would be approx $200. The board will still be able to
be used with dry erase markers so teachers will not lose their board. If a
competitors board goes down after their warranty is up you have to replace
the whole board. this is much more expensive.
Thank you for your comment. This is definitely a board that is meant to be
used in conjunction with other traditional teaching methods. Being able to
use dry-erase markers and magnets on the eno board is a huge plus. I would
also like to let you know that you can capture whatever is written on the
board with the digital ink and any images that you are writing over. So
basically, if you are projecting an image on the board and annotate over it
you can save it as a file, or print it.
Who else is uncomfortable by the innacuracy of the class of kids they use
in this video? Am i supposed believe that if i use an eno board in class
all of my students will raise their hands whenever i ask a question and
will be comfortable in front of one another? advertisement and education
has no place together, deception is contrary to the ideals of
education(though perhaps not necessarily of schooling).
Hot spots are common on this type of whiteboard. Most whiteboards that
support Expo markers, have a surface that shines brightly from the LCD
projector. This surface was not designed for an LCD projector. There is a
manufacturer that provides an interactive whiteboard that is both digital
and Expo marker friendly, and does not show LCD projector hotspots. Check
out the eInstruction DualBoard.
The hot spot can be an issue if the projector is on a table or cart - not
only will there be a hot spot there this will be a large shadow when using
the board. This would be the case for any surface. I would recommend that
the projector be mounted in the ceiling or that you use a short-throw
projector. This will virtually eliminate any hot spot or shadow.
your projector is too bright, is 1 cause for this small of an image from
this short distance 1,500 lumens would be more than enough, while most are
using 2000- 3000 lumens projectors. and the fact that this surface is
extremely reflective, hot spots are going to happen..just the nature of
white erase boards.
Wow, this is awesome! I wish my college uses interactive whiteboards. My
college generally uses regular whiteboards and sometimes blackboards.
Having interactive whiteboards in colleges and universities, as well as
grade, middle and high schools would be awesome.
wow i guess this is the future of learning for our generations to come they
probably would take an electronic board home and thats where they eould put
their homework and we wouldnt have to carry a bavkpack that weights tons of
mass life would be much easier !!!
This looks great for elementary school, but what about higher ed? Our
students might balk at being asked to use magnets as locators--they're "too
sophisticated". Other than the lack of cables, why is this better than a
SmartBoard with Smart software?
With the short throw projector, a proper one such as the CPA52, the hot
spot would be gone at three feet from the board. Now I know classrooms are
getting crowded, but noone sits that close. Trust me, I've done MANY of
these.
The image in this video looks the way it does due to the filming of the
video - we needed to make it light enough to see the students and teacher
as well as show the image on the board. The image looks spectacular in
person.
