While I cannot condone what some of my fellow students have said -- and I apologize sincerely for the disrespect some have shown -- I must admit this move was merely a stunt to get some attention, and anyone who puts emotion aside for a moment to listen to reason would see that. While I am a liberal in my social and political views, this is an area I cannot step to the left. Men and women complement each other mentally, emotionally and physically. They are made to fit together, quite literally.

amazing!!! It really addresses some big issues that the church of latter day saints and BYU are so closed minded about.The people who have commented this video below me have made such negative and aggressive comments towards the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and transgender community. God teaches love and compassion, not disgust and hatred. I am shocked and appalled at the way people refer to homosexuals as sinful for their actions. @italianguy2011 First of all ... way to be four years late on a reply to my post. Second, not only have I read the bible - lid to lid - but I teach it daily. You, sir, clearly lack an understanding of the collection of books yourself. While God did send His son, Jesus Christ, to redeem from sin, the challenge for us is to avoid sin in the first place. As an authorized representative of Christ, I continue to feel comfortable with the comments I made four years ago.

Your video failed to mention the arrests of members in your group. These arrests were made for violating trespassing laws administration had warned Soulforce of prior to their visit. Students didn't want to be seen because their words could have easily been edited to show support for the homos. This was not a respectful visit, it was an attempt to flare tempers in order to further this groups agenda of showing non-tolerance for their decisions.

If they believe in no Homo's, let them have their no homo space. Why does everyone have to except in what u believe? Its about respect here. If you homos want respect, you gotta give some. People dont "chose" to be gay. and whats selfish is people getting pregnet and throwing the baby in a trash can beacuse they dont want to raise it when your LGBT you have to fight to even have children and if they're willing to fight to have children those children are going to have a better life. and what about single parent families are the parents selfish beacuse the child doesn't have a mother or father?

@italianguy2011 Also ... for the record ... sex is not only about procreation. Sex between a man and a woman, legally wed under the laws of God, is actually a commandment. Man and woman are commanded to cleave together, and become as one flesh. In no other way is that commandment better kept than through intercourse. Homosexuality is a gross act and a sin on par with beastiality, Biblically speaking.

Such absurd comments made by people on youtube... "Mormons receive much more persecution than the queer population." Really? I understand my comment to come isn't proof to the contrary but do you think Mitt Romney (Mormon) would have any chance of becoming the President of the U.S.A. if he were openly gay? The number of absurd comments on Youtube is staggering.

wait, so you guys are there saying that the lds religion is tearing apart families? doesn't that seem a bit backward? It seems to me that Homosexuality is making families nonexistant. Seriously, I'm fine with ya'll being what you are, but that, was, frankly, a stupid idea, and i bet those two girls are the only 2 people that REALLY wanted you there.

what the eff does having kids have anything to do with this? Maybe people dont chose to be gay, but they sure can choose to act on it. Some people are born with the desire to kill and be violent... doesnt make it right. We're all born with weakness and trials to overcome them and be stronger people for it.

Have conversation, have dialog.... Met a thousand people on my mission that just wanted "dialog" The great thing about this university is, if you don't like the polocies...then LEAVE! It's pretty simple. It's a private college and can do what ever it wants.
