My dad decides to climb a hill in the back of our property with his jeep, the kicker... the hill is on the other side of the river so he has to wait till it gets really cold ...

I have a 1947 cj-2a that i lifted and put 35x9.50 swampers on... them willy's will go ANYWHERE and ANYTHING can be fixed in the woods.... I've done every trail repair with a pair of pliers and a skrewdriver so far... theyre indestructible....

@cjjeep5 Repeated crashes on the ice caused the front axle to push backwards on the front drive shaft. This cracked the transfer case in half. We really need to add ladder bars to this thing.

lol jeeps are fun.... i curentlly have an 06 with 6 inch tera-flex suspenition, an 80 cj7 4in rough country with spring over and 37" and a 55 willys with spring over with 33s love em all

I have the WWII M-38 Willys jeep. It saw action in North Korea and we think there was a 50 Cal mounted in the back because there are dents like a tripod or something.

@Copperswilly Right you are! We actually welded the final link on each side after installed on the tire, they are pretty permanent.

its not a willys jeep forsay its was usually called a willys overland wagon i have a 51 willys pickup

Welding directly to the front crossmember is crazy. What are you going to do if you need to service anything of have to remove the front bumper? take the whole crossmember out?

It was all covered up by the bumper anyways, and it's gonna get all banged up in the dirt, so I don't think they really care all too much.

Why go thru all the trouble to make the thing look so cool just to cover it with plastic things that look stupid!it literally covers most the side metal poles. Great build though, incredible!

+Chris Hansen yep I liked it better without that plastic on it to and he should have bolted it to frame not welded it so it could be powder coated or bedlined easier
