Turbo Cavalier 2.2 ecotec
Just an update on my car now, blew it up like a year ago and haven't posted up any pictures from the rebuild. It basically fully built without cams and bigger ...
did all the work myself, extended duration cams (stage 5 CCW), hive forged
springs and retainers, valves, performance rebuild with .040 over pistons
(IIC) and gutted every non-needed part out of the entire car. racing seats,
15 gallon fuel cell, self port and polish job, cheap duraflex body kit and
a adjustable spoiler, self-fabricated exhaust that bring my stock pipes out
to a 3.5" right behind my front tires, (just manifold + pipes) and to top
it all off with 750cc injectors and some random wheels from craigs list
that look wicked powder coated black. all for less than $3000 giving me
close to 390 whp and a curb weight of 1980 lbs without me in it.
well i have a ? i put a cold air intake, performance chip, hi flow cat,
exhaust tip, and front mount intercooler on my 2003 Chevy cavalier ls and
im planning to put a sts turbo in a month ish i want to know your opion and
if i should or should not and i love your car
+josh koerner Ignore this guy. It's at least half fake. Over 500hp the engine begins to blow the head gasket out the sides. You need bigger AND additional head studs on the sides of the cylinders to clamp it down better. In addition, at 2:37 the ass end of the vehicle is actually the ass end of a Pontiac GTO with a V8. Bullshit all around on this video. Man???? You don't think we're stupid?!?!Granted, the eagle rods and wiseco pistons combo are perfect for this motor. 10:1 compression for this particular build will be good to about 550 horsepower, up to 500 for the stock crank not treated. After that you need to do some serious blockwork. And as for spray painting the intercooler and piping... ???????????????????????????? Guaranteed this dude melted a hole in his pistons due to pre-compression pinging!! Bad move man!!I love this car, the way it looks, the motor work, and the color configuration. Now quit faking it, all right? It pains me to see such a good motor go to waste.
my brother is running 15 psi on stock internals....... and everything is fine, hes been running it like that for years, and he has friends doing the same
i don't even trust pushing mine beyond 3500 rpms without fearing the timing chain will blow up
My 1998 Pontiac Sunfire 5 Speed Manual
This is my first car. Bought it for $1500. One owner car. Was bought no less than 2 Miles away from my house when new. Has been in the same area all of its life.
+TheHandheldDude I just bought a sunfire and I love it, cheap on fuel, zippy, comfortable and very happy with it. Yours is very sporty and clean, good job man:)
I still haven't found it out exactly, but I'm pretty sure its my A/C clutch. As of right now it only makes noise every once and a while. The belt is still like new too so its not doing any damage.
