if it's "170hp at the wheels" i'd say redtop 3sge, 25-30hp drivetrain losses sound reasonable as well. the beams 3sge's also have ITBs, which account for the noise. the beams also have vvt-i.

3SGE with trumpets/ITB's. The 3rd gen 3SGE came out at 175 hp, they're 2L. So I'm assuming it's a 3RD Gen 3SGE. Toyotas only have that DORP sound. Hondas have a higher pitch sound.

Only sounds like it because of the IRTBs, if it's 2 litre it's not a 4A-GE. Could possibly be a bored 7A-GE, but more likely a donk from an MR2 or Camry

sounds more like a 20 valve 4age to me which is a 1.6 litre not a 2.0 :)
