I absolutely love the idea for this video because I think sometimes people
(me included) think that homeschooling is super easy but it's actually
really hard and I can see that it is really hard to get motivated! Keep up
the great work and I really liked this video! :)

Well I Wish I Was Homeschooled Because School Makes Me Bored and Tired and
All My Classes are Noisy and I Get a Little Worry of When It Is Time To Go
To The Next Period and Go Home etc. LOL
If anyone says home schooling is not the way to go, it's because the ones
teaching should most likely go back to school themselves. Smarten up a bit
might help.
I am homeschooled I take breaks when necessary may sleep in have a quiet
classroom and your never worried become homeschooled take off 85% of stress
off
Hey Destiny! I love you're name it's so pretty! So anyways this is probably
the 10th video I've watched on homeschooling here on YouTube and honestly
this is the only video where I've actually gotten some information. Ok so I
have already talked to my parents and my school about me being homeschooled
and everything. The thing is, both of my parents work full time and are
divorced which means I at two separate houses. My mom would be totally into
teaching me but she can't stay home all day with me. I really don't want to
do online because it's just a lot harder. Is there any other solution to
this?? I'm just not sure how I could be homeschooled if I don't have a
parent or anybody to be teaching me at home with out having to do it
online... Also in my school district PE is required and I have no idea how
I'm gonna do my physical education when I'm home all day...I don't do any
sports or clubs or anything and I am not planning on doing them. So how am
I sopposed to do PE? thank you!!
+Ciera More Okay so for starters it really just depends on your age, by the time I was 14 I completely taught myself. My parents just bought the curriculum and I read through the lessons and did the work and then every week or so my mom would go through and check to make sure I was doing everything correctly. There are some curriculums that are extremely detailed and very easy to follow so I would really recommend looking into those and you could easily do most of the work yourself. Another thing is homeschooling takes a significantly less amount of time than public school. Maybe 2-4 hours a day if you're really dedicated so you could easily work on things once your parents came home. IT IS TOTALLY DOABLE BELIEVE ME. A lot of people have a very unrealistic view of what homeschooling is like but let me tell you it minimizes stress by 75% and it is so much easier to learn. So now with PE, some states will let you attend athletic courses at the public school closest to you. If that interests you at all that's an option. I'm not 100% positive about this but if you just go on walks or bike rides a few times a week you can count that as your physical activity as well(I would double check that to make sure it's correct because I live in a state with extremely laid back homeschooling rules and I know a lot of places aren't like that.) Or look into homeschooling groups in your area. That's where I got all of my PE courses in when I was younger. You will be surprised at all the things they offer! I hope this helps!
+Emily Boyd yay congratulations!! My biggest tip is going to be to make sure and stay motivated/consistent!! It might be different for you but my mother was very loose in our schooling schedule and pretty much let me do whatever I wanted so I would go days without doing any work and then would stress myself out trying to catch up! I wish you the best of luck and hope it goes well!!
I'm halfway through my sophomore year in high school & I really want to be
home-schooled my junior & senior year. Do you thinks its too late to start?
And is it expensive?
+Ura Mescudi It's definitely not too late. It can be expensive but I would look for curriculum on craigslist/ amazon and try to find as much preowned stuff as you can to minimize costs!
So I want to be homeschooled bad. I've gone to public school my whole life,
I'm in middle school now, and I just can't take all the work and stress
regular school puts on me. I've told my mom is like to be homeschooled, but
she said she will not homeschool me because you need to know a lot to
homeschool someone. I also have high levels of anxiety too, so you're not
alone on that
+Olivia Bircheart There is a lot less homework if you're homeschooled Like a ton less. Doing it online though is a different story and I would say then that it is pretty comparable to public school. Both of my parents are high school dropouts actually so no you don't need to know a lot to teach your child how to homeschool. The curriculum will do most of the work for you!
does your mum and dad have to teach you or can you teach yourself? I live
in the UK and I actually don't know if we have homeschooling but I don't
know how to convince my mum.. and do your mum and dad have to be like
trained or anything or can they just teach you, how do you start homeschool
l? do you have to just drop out or are there things you need to do in order
to be homeschooled? ps.. I love you & your videos so much!!
+Emma Roberts It honestly is different everywhere you live. In my state no, your parents do not have to go through training to homeschool you. In some areas though your parent has to have a teaching degree to be able to though. My mom started out teaching me but when I got older I decided to just teach myself because I found it to be easier. You have to fill out a form requesting to withdraw your child from school before you can teach them from home. I hope this helps!! I would just do some research about the rules for your area and what is required :)
+justcaitlinCHANNEL yes in some cases this is what people do. It really just depends on where you live and the laws for homeschooling in that area. There are even some places that have schools for homeschoolers(sounds weird I know) Where basically homeschoolers can go once or twice a week and they see how they are doing academic wise, if they're on track for their age and so they can have more socializing. There are really a million different ways to homeschool just depending on how and what people need to make it work for their lives.
Types of HOMESCHOOLERS
New videos every other week! SUBSCRIBE! What's it like on the farm? What's it like being socially awkward? What's it like being homeschooled? Be sure to ...
Oh my gosh! When I saw that exploring creation with biology I looked at my
desk where my exploring creation with physics is, and I did there chemistry
book last year! I have a question. Every homeschooler I know uses saxon for
math. Do you?
+YouTube Bae (Jenny) Just as Ella mentioned there are programs like Classical Conversations and other types of co-ops that homeschoolers are a part of, though not always. But also school is not the only place public/private schoolers meet people, just as homeschoolers are not missing their only chance to socialize by not going to public school. Take for instance extra-curricular activities. People would ask us the "But how do they socialize?" question all the time and my mother-who would have to run me and my siblings to all of our extra-curricular/homeschool group/church activities said "If they get any more social I think I'll die!" Some would say that we are more social as we have to go out and "hunt" a bit more for friendships. There are, however, people who do fit those stereotypes. But also consider that socially awkward people are found in any type of schooling-whether public, private, or homeschooled. Thank you for your question and I hope we have satisfied your curiosity. :)
Well I'm actually homeschooled and I have a few public schooled friends. But normally if we want to make friends we sign up for programs like Classical Conversations and they're like schools that you do once or twice a week but all of them are different. I currently go to one twice a week, and what they do is they assign curriculums for everybody and pick out everything we do, and we do all of it in class, then we go home on the other days and do the homework they assign and I have about 9 subjects to complete in 3 days.
Just watched this video for like the 5th time, and loved it just as much as
the 1st!!! This vid is SO true tbh! I can seriously relate!
#ProudHomeschooler
ahhh was that an apologia book I saw? I love it but the whole "I'm gonna
tell you about this now, and teach it to you later, but don't bother
remembering it, because we won't explain it yet." two chapters later,
"remember such and such mitosis blah that we mentioned on page 17 paragraph
blah blah." gets a bit old.
I totally agree lol!!! I've done like every one of apologia's textbooks.
Why Gracie is Homeschooled? Being An Autistic Person in the Public School System | Tangents
Why Gracie is Homeschooled? Being An Autistic Person in the State School System is really hard. Tangents has returned because Gracie has some things she ...
Gracie, it sounds like you have a stereotypical redheaded temper. I can
have that as well, if I get really fired up/angry/upset about something. So
while us redheads have to work on our fiery tempers, it's totally
understandable at the same time. That teacher really shouldn't have done
what she did; if she got frustrated, there are other ways she could have
vented later on (like writing in a journal), etc. while teaching can be
stressful, much like most jobs, what she did was wrong.
I also twirl my hair sometimes, usually if I'm nervous. I've always been
shy around teachers and people I don't know well, being introverted;
twirling my hair or playing with hair ties/jewelry helps a little bit (as
does softly playing music in the background if I have to call someone I
don't know on the phone).
While I've never had anything as bad as that happen when I was in school,
my 3rd/6th grade teacher was strict and one of my least favorite teachers
back then (others have taken that place)
Basically one of the only things I liked was that she did encourage my love of AG dolls in 6th grade, when I got my first one. I always imagined her as a cousin to Emily's Aunt Elizabeth in "Emily of New Moon." I remember she got annoyed when one of my stuffed animals went off during class, in 3rd grade. We had a loft that we could read/do school work in sometimes (another thing I did like). Someone else was in the loft, where stuffed animals were kept if we brought them in, and must have either pressed my stuffed animal's foot on purpose or accidentally and my teacher didn't like it. (Luckily the music doesn't last long each time).
Gracie relates to me a lot, she's very outspoken and loud and I love that.
She's so mellow. I would love to be friends to be her. Wish I could meet
her someday! :)
We'll, this story's awkward...well in year one there was a assembly and I
had to wear a skirt...since I was a gross kid I wore no underpants DON'T
JUDGE so I told the teacher...all the girls where getting changed and she
brought me to the class where the boys are...she said "Show Me" I took off
my pants showing my privates...I still go to that school
