"The light is always right under our feet." That's a teaching of all
enlightened practices. So, Stan is a little off. We're actually always in
the 'realm of spirituality.'
We don't see it because we're usually too bound up in our everyday, ego
centered struggle for survival, and our endless pursuits of pleasure &
gratification.
Aldous Huxley explained it very well in his "Doors of Perception."
Psychedelics temporarily remove the sensory filters in our nervous system
and we see "Reality" as it is - infinite and boundless.
William Blake first said it, 'If the doors of perception were cleansed
every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite.
If we just open our eyes and pay attention, the light is always right under
our feet.

SAND got Stan Grof! Badass! An expert in the field of psychedelics is
someone who is more likely than most to understand non-duality.. ;)
