In this episode, we review methods and introduce two new concepts: parameters and returning values. Reddit ▻ https://www.reddit.com/r/CoderTheTyler/ Twitter ...
Are you using another mic? Or did you change some settings? I said I would
get back to you after I asked a friend, and he recommended a snowball mic
also, because although there are others cheaper for the same audio quality,
snowball seems like the only 100% guarantee you get your moneys worth.
+stcrussman I did get another mic. I actually got one a little higher quality than a snowball as I needed a good mic for another reason as well. Still tweaking the settings though. Any suggestions?EDIT: I also missed your other comment :3
Word on the streets is that CoderTheTyler gets mad pussy 24/7. Or dongs if
he's not straight, but he's probably straight. He only doesn't like pussy
cause he needs to come up for air or else he'll drown in it.
one tiny thing - can you normalize the audio in your intro so its level is
the same as rest of vid? right now it's really loud compared to rest of
video. thanks and awesome stuff so far. also hope you can recommend a java
dev environment that's not hideous. along with the GUI system, java just
discourages by being so ugly.
+jin choung Audio is currently my biggest challenge, you're right. My new microphone is coming in today though! Right now I have to do a lot more post-processing to get the audio to not sound terrible. Hopefully with this new fangled piece of tech I'll be able to improve that.
So I watched the video, and I am confused about one thing, so let's talk
about the cat and how much it can eat. But let's take this to a game
perspective? If you enter that the cat ate the amount , and it eats that
amount how do you then stop it from always eating that amount. Like how
does the program know that the cat is full and hungry , is that in the same
parameter or variable ( I am still a little confused on terminology), or is
there a variable / parameter switching the number around. Sorry if you
explained this and I just didn't get it
I think you're getting too far ahead haha! That's a good thing though! The eat method is, well, a method. This means that we can pass different amounts of food to eat every time the method is called. How exactly this could be done wasn't the focus here, just the idea that it can be done. You may be confused on terms though. A parameter is simply something we give a method as input every time we call it. It could be 10 one time, 145 another time, and -40 some other time. All it is is a means of giving a method some input. And parameters are not set in stone. They only hold the value you give them so long as that method is being executed. Did that help clear it up at all?
great! me and my gf are tuning in to every vid u post.
thanks!
ps. maybe open later on a patreon account or something so we can donate,
show appreciation, etc..
+DioXin Your viewing and subscription are all I need for now! I feel it would be a bit unfair to open a patreon or anything like that this early on. Maybe once I settle in and have some series done though. I appreciate the sentiment though! :D
