All this is doing is clearing your system cache...system cache is part of what the processor uses for memory and such...all of the updates that you ever download are stored here in a cache on your hard drive and in the process of removing all of the patches the xbox or any other system runs smoother and can read games without lagging...the problem with this is that it has nothing to do with connection lag so if the host sucks or your connection does you still lag. If you play 1 game it is good

People who make these videos should get fucking stabbed. These videos, are pointless, all it does is remove updates, it DOES NOT remove lag, at all, it doesnt remove ANY memory at all, please dont be fooled by this fucking video, you have to install ALL new updates again, take the video down it is a complete waste of 2 minutes and 59 seconds.

People should stop saying thanks, now I don't lag anymore.. The only thing he just did is removed the old patches and updates, the update you just saw were all the update's he removed. And ofcourse he doesn't lags in the game cuz its his own game without players..

@krazylagirl Same here. I found out that after you press Y at 0:22 in this vid and get to that next part, the clear cache or whatever (3rd option you find if you do this) is the same thing. It was basically an update that replaced the xx LB RB xx thing.

ok. if your connection ever messes up again here is an easy way to fix it. well first go to your dashboard, go to system setting (all the way to the right in My Xbox) click A, click on memory, it should say hard drive or something else if u renamed ur hard drive, click Y (NOT A) then click on Clear System Cache. Click Yes. then go and click on the game you want to play. there should be an update. click yes on the update and there shouldnt be anymore lag.

Btw the same thing happened to me with the network adapter that was the problem you see as it's at the back of the xbox where the heat generates meaning that your adaptor heats up and starts messing up either get an intercooler for your xbox or a double adaptor which gives double the connection strength you can pick a brand new one up for £50 ($63) or a preowned one for £35.99 ($45) hope this helped :)

Ahem,To add on,If you have another computer or something,And it works FINE,as in you played a steam FPS mmo game then its PROBALY just a firewall on the router blocking the Xbox's connection or being buggy.

@TheBullumHead Access your router page. Check all of the settings for these key ones. Get the port forwarding from Microsoft's website and in the booklets of all your online games. I don't own an XBOX 360 but I do this for my PS3 all the time. People just don't realize how much their network needs to be set correctly.

I think the best way to get best connection is to just buy a new router or modem with high speed internet may only cost a couple hundred $ but its worth it the files are the least problem with it. its usually either someone on a laptop taking your connection by turning on many screens at once or tabs. You may even have a bad internet connection company or old computer.1. never leave laptop or computer on during multiplayer games like halo 3 especially or black ops. lock your IP address also

@bacha619 PAL xbox is shit - im on my FORTH xbox as the 1st 3 redlined all replaced by microsoft under warranty, but it makes no diffrence, esp if you live in the uk. Playing against yanks you are handicaped by latency AND lag in some form on all games. that was a long time ago and thats because it was older and newest like new really good system and of course there would be problems if ps3 came out before xbox 360 there would definitely be more problems but most/all problems are fixed in xbox now plus ps3 has the random glitches even offline its just how the system works and many people complain about it

Xbox 360 is just a peice of SHIT. I've had lagging and sufferinf from mad latency from day dot, "it's your connection buddy" is it hell, i can stream movies on two lap tops at the same time while watching TV on the SHIT BOX with no issues what so ever. Not along time ago. I just had one quit about two months ago. Only had it for about a year and as I stated before Xbox had to completely restructure the warranty process while PS3 did not. I'm more than sure there are statistics out there that authenticate it. Not really a debate here. Xbox's problem was an epidemic.

Haha funny that people dislike this vid, clearing system cache will fix multiplayer lag in most cases and the process should be done every couple of months. Note this will not solve latency or NAT problems.

Ok for anybody asking. Yes you need updates so when you clear cache you then go to your game with Xbox live then re download the update then it will run Xbox live as smooth as before the lag problem.

i deleted the system cache because my netflix kept lagging and after i deleted the cache my games and shit lag all to hell now when im playing on live i would not recommend doing this

I have both and definitely not. Xbox systems have far more problems even though it does less. Pretty sure PS3 didnt have extend any warranties cause of the failure rate (RRofD).

This happened to me once, i was on a lobby with my clan and one friend of mine had crappy connection and we were just like showing on the video...when my friend droped(he was the host) it was all good...so i don't think it has anything to do for what you are saying recon...don't take me wrong...but i just think it was just the guy who din't have a good conection.

Looks like something you'd see in a montage by JoeHandsome. Earlier today a game had a hiccup. We could jump as high as the map would let us, and we could run as fast as lightning, and this was on the PC. A hacker just got a Chopper Gunner and all hell broke loose.

Can someone help Me please? When I play any Xboxlive game I red bar 24/7 and there is nothing i can do to stop it. I dont use a wireless thingy to play live and when I take my xbox to my mates house just up the road it dosn't lag at all. On Halo 3 I dont respawn and in Mw2 I cant walk in a straight line. I recently rang up my ISP and they said my internet was at top speed. I just dont get it and Im completely over it.

That was the best thing possible unless you have a modem or a router that you've had for a long time which causes shortages in your connection that makes it slow sometime and fast at times

ok i never lagged and i start to lag and my wireless router is next my xbox i live in an apartment so is it possoble that someone is using my connection and it interferes and makes me lag?

Wait so if I do this, it won't delete saved games, or downloaded games,or dlcs', and this won't change anything but the updates which I can reinstall? So can someone tell me if i'm right.

I found that lag is also caused by wireless 2.4 gigahertz house phones. If your lagging and ones near your router move it or connect to your routers 5 gigahertz option if it has one.

Maybe if you move it closer to you'r xbox it might work, if that doesn't then call you'r internet company, and if that doesn't work then you'r going to have to open a port.

if u put up a firewall make sure you put your xbox settings to MANUAL then enter in you ip-adress subnet mask etc- if u dont know how to do that ill tell you how

Honestly they can only use your router if your neighbors have your firewall password and if you dont have a firewall password then yes it a possibility

it deletes temp files which you wont need.. it will also delete game updates but thats no problem because you can download them really fast.
