I use a DFGT too and I can see why people dislike the pedals cuz there is almost no resistance so you can't really judge your braking distance, which can cause your tires to lock up if you go too far

Having never used a more expensive set, I can't say how good or bad these pedals are. They are the best I have ever used....

You can try the sponge ball hack, it's a major improvement imho :-) (I have the same set now, used to have a DFP)
