+am2boni ...Nice!;)) .... I'm Glad it's still here for you 'am' ,.. After all the things that youtube e picks out for deletion! ... This one has held strong! (Hope I didn't jinx it; (())
Listening to the soundtrack brings back memories. I remember seeing this at
the theatre in early 1977, I was 8 years old and as this was my first "at
the movie theatre" monster movie, this movie will always have a place of
fond nostalgia in my cinematic memory and heart. Seeing the still shots
remind me of the King Kong trading cards that I collected after seeing this
movie. Thanks for posting!
+Don Evans Same me!. I allready saw it a bit later, o the fall of 1978 being 5 years old and Kong scared the hell out of me. Today I laugh at the guy on the monkey suit, but I have a certain love for the movie, after all It was my first King Kong movie.(I have already seeit all on big screen except the japaneses one that I don´t considere it "official" Kong movies).
+dkwookies I collected King Kong trading cards, King Kong puzzles and anything else that I could get my hands on that was realted to this movie. ;-) And this score is so emotive. That said....time for another listen!
+Don Evans I was 6 and same remembering seeing it. I had King Kong mask cut off the back of a serial box. The music and film stuck so much with me. Today I would rather watch the 76 version over the 32 of 06 one. John Barrys score was so amazing. The beach exploration music is just out of this world

(Pompey fan here) Good on you for going for it until the whistle (and for
Roche, who nearly scored anyway...). Won't happen again (for the same team)
for maybe 40 years (or maybe next week!) ;) But, if it were the other way
round, we'd be doing our nut too!
