Super clean! Looks like is only has about 60-some thousand miles? Is
this the 232 or 258 in-line six? (I'm assuming they didn't check the V-8
option off on the option list as it looks like a fairly straight-forward
version without many frills.) Great Sportabout! I'm glad you posted this!
Wow... this car is a demon....... I have a car such a good day this car is
a demon I have one just like it and want to restore it ... I want to know
what type of gearbox and what type of machine and bring all the details to
make it similar .. thank you very much ... haaa to measure wheels are???
hornet: thats one I know well...I'll never forget the $25 green wagon I
bought in '95...used to run a painting business out of it...then there was
the blue hatchback 258 with AMC concord disc brakes....hauled ass..I'd like
to build a 401 someday like this yellow number
it has a 401 with a th400 trany from a jeep,ford 9 inch with all the
goodies, wheels are 28 drag radials. If you want anything over 27.5 open ur
wheel well up a bit in the front
Thank you Zig, the ducts are in and work perfectly. Just getting very
frustrated with this underdash wiring, can't get any courtesy lights on
dash or interior working, seems like a simple thing but rambler really
makes it hard
That worked out pretty good Paul...I think I have some radio installation
clips to fit a spindle radio to a "modern" rectangular opening...If I find
them you can have them..I'll PM you If they are where I think they are...
For all your AMC Performance parts please contact me. I have 72 AMC engines
with parts to suit from 290ci through to 431ci stroker. ANYONE WANT A UR18
Ultra Ram, Twin 4 Barrel Offenhauser, Crane Roller Rockers, 3,500rpm
Converters to suit torqueflite, stage 3 shift kit and more parts than you
can shake a stick at.
It was very hard before the internet, I only knew of 2 places here when my
engine was built 15 years ago. I got all my parts (except for heads &
intake) for new engine from Randy at Performance American Style, he has
been great. He's sending me over Moser 1 piece axles this week.
How hard is it getting AMC V8 go fast goodies in Oz? I was shocked that
Yella Terra made roller rockers for AMC V8's my buddy has them on his 401
pwd 9 sec Gremlin. They made one hellofa roller rocker.
Thanks. Yeah you're right some slicks would be good - but I think they
would of caused the hub to spin a lot sooner than it did. New engine this
year, will NEED slicks then.
