(07 Subaru STI) Collision Damage!! + Hello To My Newer Subs/ What My Channel Is About
I would like to thank you all for 500+ subs. I do youtube purely for fun and because I want to. Other then people making vid requests, I post what I want. If u sub ...
dude just made a youtube account but have been watchin your vids for awhile
now im staying tuned for the build your doin a great job!!!! i got an s2k
but loooove your sti.you should just put on your coilovers on might as well
if your waitin for money!
Thanks. I'm glad someone is liking the vids. Sounds like u need to post some vids of ur s2k ;p I promised my mechanic I'd quit screwing with my car and just wait for the build. Everything will be installed then. Its easier to install right the first time then for him to fix my mistakes later haha. Money's not really an issue, atleast so far. I'm just waiting for the build to start. My car, the parts, and even some of the labor is already paid for. He's just a pretty busy guy; and alot of what he does is usually full motor builds with customization so it can take longer then a typical build.
I don't think they're gonna cover it.. It's only an $83 piece. Im still trying to see if any of my friends can get it for me cheaper. Then i'll get it and install it and all should be good. Should!
Subaru STI 06 EJ25 timing tensioner damaged
After a pull on the street with rpms to 7000, the car started to make that sound and after removing the right side of the cover, the sound was more clear and you ...
2002 subaru wrx knocking - damaged piston from running lean
I was in the process of tearing it down, which is why there are no belts and a lot is missing from the engine bay. 2002 wrx, ej257, ej205 heads, BC 272 cams, ...
Umm, just a note to consider...An intake leak on a naturally aspirated
engine can cause a lean condition, an intake leak on a forced induction
engine (i.e. turbo, or supercharger, ) creates a rich condition not lean.
The amount of fuel injected is a mathematically calculated algorithm,
according to air demand (and other factors), an air leak before the
cylinder is Less air entering the cylinder, but the fuel amount injected is
constant (rich now due to less air) . My guess, RPM's caused this.
Ah, my bad... I did the fatal "assumption" and thought you had a
speed/density (non-mas) system. Speed/density systems takes an indirect
measurement of air flow, and based on that measurement assigns a tabulated
value to the fuel flow. Therefore with no mas I "assumed" the leak you were
referring to was in the intake manifold or related components. With this
new info you are correct that a lean system can result. I have to stop
assuming!!!! Thanks for the correction.
Firstly, it's not an STI. Secondly, it was a stock STI block bolted to wrx
2.0 heads that I cheaply corrected the compression ratio with by using
thicker head gaskets. The car was not the problem, the modifications and
hard life was. I put 120k hard miles on the completely stock engine with a
Cobb stage 2 setup before I started any major modifications and never had
any issues. It is now a compete STI swap with forged internals, including
the driveline.
Hey topher, thanks for posting/sharing that video, I read your comments and
learned a lot as well. You seem to know a lot, so I'm going to throw the
question out there, my 2002 impreza wrx is running rich, does anything come
to mind to check for? I've spent countless hours in the forums, and have a
hundred things I will be checking, but would appreciate your 2 cents as
well! Cheers, David.
No, it has headers. The more you know... Exhaust manifolds are usually made
from cast iron, and are big, bulky, and not designed for optimum flow.
Headers are normally tube steel with a separate tube from each exhaust port
to a common collector, this arrangement helps with flow, and scavenging,
thus helping the engine to produce more power.
@topher170 while that is true that cyl 3 is closest, the extra heat from
the turbo makes no difference because the cylinder is surrounded by a water
jacket, the coolant would absorb the extra heat. Cyl 3 is the more
restrictive port in the header, so that's what I would blame the extra EGTs
on that cylinder from.
The leak was before the turbo in the inlet hose, which is under vacuum at
spool, therefore drawing in extra air after the maf sensor. That means that
there was more air in the system than what the maf sensor was reading...
which equals lean. I agree that a leak after the turbo would result in the
opposite.
I was in the process of tearing it down, that's why everything was
disconnected and no belts. Someone wanted to know what it sounded like so I
fired it up and recorded it. The motor was trashed and coming apart anyway,
so I really didn't care. It now has a built block and heads.
Hey topher I am having the same problem as you with the damaged piston and
it just coincidentally happened also to be Piston 3, I also have an STi
with EJ257 shortblock but EJ205 heads. Was wondering how much it cost you
to fix ? and what job you did to fix it ?
@sDcMoo I never had a problem with the trans, however, I just swapped in a
sti 6mt and R180. I had 120k miles on the stock drivetrain before the swap.
If you don't shock load it, you won't have a problem. Smooth is fast.
@CVRealMan It was a stock sti short block. The pistons are the weak link in
the sti blocks. It ran lean due to an intake leak and trashed a piston. It
has forged pistons and rods now.
I was in the process of tearing it down. Who doesn't have a scan tool these
days? Takes about 5 seconds to clear codes, plus I re tuned it when I put
it back together anyway.
NEW Gran Turismo 5 Gameplay w/ Damage Subaru STI HD ! (with damage.)
@backbeyond OOOhhhh your cursing on youtube, your a big tough guy now, am I
supposed to be threatened by a barrage of unintelligent sentence fragments?
Dude, don't have a fucking heart attack over something that I said on a
fucking website. If damage really means that much to you then that's cool,
but I am entitled to say whatever the fuck I want. Your probably going to
reply to this comment with another nasty comment, but thats fine, because
there are always pricks like you on the internet.
Who really cares about damage? You will only see the damage if you are a
shitty driver, I never crash when I play GT5P, and theres no damage in that
at all, so i dont miss having damage, all you morons that want damage in a
racing simulator like GT5 go play your gay ass Forza, NFS, or burnout.
its a nice track , it is a demo but jsut wait until gran turismo 5 comes
out it will be GREAT. day and night racing 1000 + cars, psp companbility
DRIFT NASCAR WRC. JUST EVERYTHING and the guy had steering assists it wasnt
pure racing with everything disabled. thx :D
@Bum4Lifizo Your not slamming anything into my face, but I slammed my dick
into your mom's face, your an angry little cunt, SO GO FUCK YOURSELF, I
can't believe your still responding to my comments, it's fun provoking
little nerds like you.
@veyron12020 Wow go fuck yourself sad little bitch , I hope you die you
fucking piece of motherfucking shit... Damage is what makes these games fun
you retarded stupid asshole.
@Bum4Lifizo Yes, fuck you and fuck your personal opinion, your an annoying
little bitch, so I am gonna say it again. GO..FUCK..YOURSELF, okay shithead?
