630.000 euros are more like 63.000 euros, cause your sponsors pays almost
80% of the car. Plus that, is a team, not for collin mcrae only. Still, my
favorite race car ever made.
+Levon Avetisian I can promise you a wrc car would destroy anything you can build for 20,000$ on top of a base sti. Sure you could give it insane power, but that's not everything in rally, plus it wouldn't meet spec
+Billy Raymond Get your facts straight? It's a 2.5L engine. The FIA says that the WRC car can have a maximum displacement of 2L. For GrpA and GrpN the maximum supercharged displacement is 2.5L. However, the WRC car needs to use an engine based off a GrpA car, same with GrpN. To be homologated for GrpA/GrpN Subaru would just need to submit the info for the 2.5L car.
+Benny Chan What you think every cent of that goes straight to the engine? There's a lot more development and research required for WRC cars then you think. Not only do these cars have to go fast, but they have to be able to handle the abuse of a driver trashing it around on a stage over and over and over again. Plus it's not like these are in mass production, each competent in these cars are usually custom made to order. Let's not forget the image Subaru has in the rally community, they've obviously been doing it right for a loooong time so it's not like you're one to talk.
Knob head... Time x speed = distance. Big speed=big distance

A top-spec rallycross car is a 600 horsepower, turbocharged, all-wheel
