Presidential Powers 2: Crash Course Government and Politics #12
This week Craig continues our conversation on presidential powers by looking at those NOT found in the Constitution - implied or inherent powers. We'll talk ...
republican Illuminati, really?
A very informative series but it's left wing bias is obvious. And when
teaching people I am of the belief one should at least attempt to remain
neutral
+LevelCompleted Before I get killed there are subtitles but they are auto generated which means it sucks. When you have like 50 people working on a 10-15 minute video can at least one of them put subtitles. I'll put subtitles or god sake. I'm trying to watch this vid in a library.
So often Craig is lying or misleading the viewers and it's causing a
diminishment of the Crash Course brand. Please replace him with someone
that does not have an agenda, that does have a personality, and preferably
knows something about which they speak.
US still maintain the highest nominal GDP, people may feel like China's economy is the largest, but in reality USA's GDP is still larger than combined GDP of BRICS countries, you got it right, including China, Russia, India, Brazil, and South Africa. And about military power, Russia is only as strong as where their tanks can roll to, across the ocean Russia is almost irrelevant. China has unproven military, and their projection power is negligible, oh, and they didn't do well in wars either.
+almoody6872 So why was Russia humiliated in Eastern Ukraine, to the point where a peace treaty that would give Ukraine all the territories except Crimea back is being negotiated right now as we speak?
+almoody6872 And? Russia is also reliant on fairly outdated technology, outdated tactics, widespread corruption, and is generally incapable of engaging in conflicts that aren't in their general backyard. Their Nuclear program is a joke of a holdover from the Soviet era, and in fact, they aren't completely sure if every warhead is where it should be.The Tank thing? Pfft. Buildup from the expectation of rolling over the Plains of Poland into Western Europe. Soviet Holdovers.
+killerbee256 It's actually a reference to the first episode of World History. It's implying that at the beginning of human history, elephants could have joined us, conspired against us and thrived.
I'm going to be honest, not a huge fan of this crash course series. Firstly
I'm not that interested in American politics and as many crash course
viewers are not American, it alienates those who have no care for American
politics. With crash course U.S. history you were still adleast learning
about history and it had some relevance to non Americans. Lastly, I find
that the host is not very interesting nor funny and would have preferred
someone who has a bit more charisma, Just my opinions though
+Alex Turlais We should probably do that with people from other country's, because some people may get offended that someone from another country is talking about their government, and they may feel it's wrong.
+Meg Ashley why couldn't they have just made a series on government? they could have mentioned other countries, talked about international law and trade and the eu
+Daniel Normandeau I actually like Craig as a host, seeing him here (and on Mental Floss occasionally) has made me want to go check out his own channel. While I understand why you're not interested in this series, you complaining about the focus on America is like me complaining that Doctor Who has too many alien invasions in the UK. Both the creators of a series and the largest chunk of their audience have a huge influence on the content created, and in this case both are American. I know that American's aren't the entirety of Nerdfighteria, but it is a big enough chunk to have a few Crash Courses focused on the US.

Looks like a part of lecture. I am very eager to attend the class if I get
admitted to Ross. I was looking for specific examples to substantiate a
point made in this video and I am sure those might have been discussed ,
may be it is not shown in the video. Really interesting video.
