If your after bragging rights, buy the HC. If you want a faster car, buy a Shelby 13-14 Gt500. It's 700 lbs lighte and is rooms are kept under 1800 during normal driving, you'll get nearly 27-28 hwy and 18 city, which is far bette than a HC. Oh, and the HC are not much more roomy unless you are wide hipped. The back seat is def Bette in the HC. I kept my 13' GT500, tried a friends Chally, HC for 5 days, didn't like how barge like it was. BIg, fat, heavy car. Tough to park, bad mpgs with a light foot, and just plan oversized. Oh, we both raced at the local track. I beat him by 1 car length every time. That's his front bumper even with my rear bumper. He was trapping 121-122, I was 124.His times were 12.1 and mine were 11.9... Aerodynamics hurts the big cat. His was an 8 spd auto. But he has been having problems with it lately. I told hm to get the stick, because it has a proven TR6060 in it form the viper and it's built t o handle huge power.
+hungdaknees Thanks for the responses, it helps out a lot. You did the exact things to your Shelby that I wanna do with mine, except for a mono blade throttle body, I wanna do the dual 65mm. I heard there is some surging with the mono blade. 732 rwhp is A LOT of power. Not much is keeping up with you in that thing.
Its hard to say what one is more fun. If want to go tear up the street Shelby want to go cruise a surprise people when I blow there doors off hellcat. For the power of the Shelby127mm air intakeFord racing mono blade TB1 7/8 kooks header with no cats and corsa exhaustand a upper pulleydyno tune at Dallas of mustang
+hungdaknees So stock vs. stock, you'd say the Hellcat is faster? Which do you find more fun to drive? What did you do to your Shelby to bring it to 732 rwhp?
+Mario Pollio The Shelby is faster after I added the stuff to it but its at 732rwhp when im saying the hellcatt is at 640rwhp don't know yet going to put it on the dyno in a couple weeks. acceleration the Shelby to me but its hard to get traction in it and im running 305 nitto on it. The hellcat surprises the hell out of me it doesn't spin a whole lot. But the hellcat is a beast
+hungdaknees That is true, but I feel like performance upgrades are inevitably coming. I'm more curious about the stuff that can't be seen in pictures or measured in numbers. How would you compare the driving experience? Is one clearly faster than the other or feel faster? On paper they rank about the same in acceleration. Which one is more fun to drive? If you were to go out for a joy ride, which would you see yourself hopping in to?
+Mario Pollio Its hard to say they both have there pros and cons my Shelby is not kid friendly it suck trying to put both of my kids in the back seat now in the charger open back door and the hop right in there is more room in charger then Shelby Its a hard to say what one I would go with if I were you. what sucks about the hellcat is there is no performance parts or upgrades for it yet the Shelby was easy to make 700rwhp with.
Oh wow, that's awesome, so you own both!!! I wish I could own both, but I have to choose. I sat in a Hellcat Charger and agree with you on the interior. To you think it's a good idea to trade the Shelby for a Hellcat since you own both, or should I keep the Shelby? If you had to pick one, which would you choose?
+Mario Pollio No didnt trade my shelby bought it for my wife. The interior is 10 times nicer than the shelby can go in long hauls with kids in this car
