This 5.3 ls swap needs a turbo 350 like a turbocharged 350 small block?? Or a th350 trans??....im confused bc I dont see a logical reason that this should have a turbocharged 350 small block over what is in it now.
We used clamshell style ls1 mounts right on the stock k member. Where they were the motor sits back kind of far with the truck intake and i cant fit the wipers or shroud on lol. Other than that there arent really other constraints with fitting the motor or 4l80e in the car.
+Sloppy Mechanics I don't know if you've done a thread on this yet but I just bought a 94 crown victoria and I want to do a 5.3 swap with either 4l80 or 6 speed. My question is how much of a pain in the ass is it to install a 5.3 into a 94 CV? I don't plan on making it turbo just plan on building it up like super chevy did on the mouse 5.3. It's gotta be everyday drivable thats why I am not going that route. I don't need a list of parts or anything just a lil advice for someone that only has hand tools but if need be I can get access to a shop.
I don't know much about engine setup and turbos but why did you put it on
the driver's side and what kinda of hood are you going to put that under?
Is that just a temporary setup for the dyno pull or permanent?
