+Rafael Nelvam Well first off they screwed the rules for Coup up VERY poorly. It's not a very accurate portrait of how the game is played (it's still one of my favorite games, just they played it wrong.) In the real rules it would be: Player A claims Assassin on player B. Player B challenges, forcing Player A to either show the Assassin, or lose an Influence. Player A has the Assassin and shows it. Player B would then lose 1 Influence for losing the challenge, and then lose their second Influence for the Assassination Action. Player A would then return the Assassin to the deck, shuffle the deck, and draw a new card.

+MP2066 Well every Duke and Contessa was face up, so he didn't have either of those. He actually did have a Captain. The thing about Will's Coup game that he was playing is that I don't think he lied once the entire time, It makes it hard to tell because he never claimed a second card after he lost his Duke and replaced it. My best guess is He had Captain/Captain at the end of the game. He had a 47 percent chance of Assassin, and a 31 percent (I think...) chance of either another Captain or an Ambassador. But if you notice the first thing he did after replacing his Duke card was to challenge Benny's fake Captain, which means he most likely had 2 Captains, which means the probability that Benny also had one is around 14 percent. Long story short, he had double Captains.

It definitely looks like something went wrong in the editing room. Obviously there's no discussion of the Catwoman and Bane cards prior to Tom saying "we already talked about Catwoman and Bane". Also, the rules explanation launches straight into the card descriptions without mentioning how the game is actually played (IE one card hand, draw one & play one on each turn) which seemed a little unusual.

We were playing that you can target someone who is protected if you want a card to do nothing, such as if you had a Baron and a Guard. Such a simple game, but still things to do wrong!
