I have watched this and feel strongly that it lacks humility. Big time.
After doing this job for more than two decades, all of which has been on
the frontline, I have no sense of deserving some kind of pat on the back,
or anything remotely similar. I have enjoyed the job, and am thankful for
it, no one forced me to do it, nor was I compelled or coerced. To the guy
who compiled this - you are exactly the same as everyone else. And you are
lucky to have a great job. Don't be smug about it. In fact - most criminal
lawyers start on about 45k, thats after spending huge money on study fees,
and working extremely hard to get their degree. Cops start on about 55k
after 6 months of paid training at the RNZPC.

Totally agree with you mate, it covers off well some of the crap we have to put up with on a daily basis however I chose to do this job. I still look forward to going to work (most of the time) and in no way shape or form do I feel as if I deserve anyone's pity.
