Nice little hobby store mate, I would support my local hobby shops, but they are arrogant, know it alls who never have any parts and talk bullshit to sell their unsellable stock and if you tell them about your RC Channel they couldn't act more disinterested if they tried! LOL (-;

I can understand that, had that issue with a hobby shop in KY, but once the owner realized my money was as good as his other customers, he changed his attitude, lol.

Definitely. Though, with this type of vehicle, why not remote? That is what I don't get. I can build a2 axis controller pretty quick with an arduino. I say put him in a bucket seat and have fire controls inside like most tank guns or the Stryker machine gun

+Tony Ferrari from a strictly hypothetical perspective, that is what I would imagine a hostile combatant would do. Small arms engagement as bait, large bore rifle to disable vehicle. Completely unrealistic of course, just a possible strategy

As a GM who just got out of the Navy, I hear a lot from the newer cats that school is more computer based training than anything. When I went you had an instructor who taught you everything, that was 5 years ago. Now, I guess you sit in a room facing a wall and work on the computer all day. There is a class proctor but no real instruction unless you go through a practical where they show you how the various weapons work. Also, I went in the big glass building in Great Lakes.

@DevinWhiteman I'm a GM and if you don't like manual labor, this job is not for you. You will be carrying heaving ammunition and weapons (.50 cal is very heavy) so if I were you start working out otherwise you'll be completely useless to the division. Other than that, I enjoy my job and teaching people how to shoot. Gun shoots like these are fun. You get to teach higher ranking enlisted personnel and even officers.

im also a gunners mate. i leave august 31st. thats weird that its on computers that ill be learning. i would honestly rather be straightforward and learn how to fire a weapon. its not like im unpracticed. im not sure how much i approve of simulations. there had better be more to it than that.

I ship out 20090721. GM is my job. As the time comes closer my feelings get more mixed. I'm nervous about going somewhere new for so long away from my girlfriend and family. But yet I'm excited to start a new life, and to serve this great nation in the World's FInest Navy! HOORAH NAVY!
