Because I am an old fart with an opinion that is greatly different from yours. I honestly don't mean to be insulting to you but listen to the old music and compare it to the new music on the radio. LIsten to the heartbreak and the true emotion of the lyrics, those lyrics were written because of the songwriters experience and pain that they actually went through. can you hear that in anything on the radio these days?

+Adrian Miller of course i mean that fucking dude by the name of taylor swift i can't stand him so i call him gaylor swift he never switched over to anything he started pop and has had a pop career since the beginning but for some reason he was on country radio with his pop shits playing and at a lot of country awards shows and gaylor don't have music gaylor has shits and gaylor is far from being a role model if u want kids looking up to a fucking liar who don't have the balls (well he does have balls but evidently not enough) to come out and say hey i was born a  dude then yeah thats a great role model ain't it gaylor is 100% fake body voice behavior if u want a good role model for youngsters then it's carrie underwood or miranda lambert britney spears the kardashian jenner sisters those are great role models cuz all of those girls are real and another one is christina aguilera and mariah carey

Do you mean Taylor Swift? She switched over to Pop. She is a very talented girl who writes all of her own music, I'm not a huge fan of hers but she is a good role model for youngsters. Maybe I'm way older than you and have a different perspective of what country really is but I do know one thing. Hip hop doesn't belong in true country music. when was the last time you heard a hip hop artist incorporate country into their music? They don't do it because it don't belong.....

+Brittany Andrews, it is not "extremely country" as you put it, and not all country folks are "rednecks". jacked up 4wd trucks and bonfires and drinkin and driving on dirt roads aint what real country is about. and that's what I wish more people understood. Pop country is geared towards teens and little girls who don't know any better. Real country music can rip your heart out. Listen to the George Jones Classic. Who's gonna fill their shoes. and you may get what im trying to say.

I aint put together like that. However; the new country should be put into a new genre of its own, to make room for the more traditional artists that are trying to make it and for those of us who cant stand the new country music and want a more traditional country sound.
