Car lift garage ceiling height Videos

The lifting of my detached garage roof 4'6" off of top plate to have a 12'6" ceiling height the building is 16'x24' all done with my car lift.

1.Yes bolted it to concrete and drilled holes all the way through so when I relocated it I could beat the bolts down through 2.sort of upside down I got the engineering on them and built them myself with 2 x6 and 2x8's cross braced with braces from scaffolding and screwed it to the roof trusses 3. mine was 16 x 24 and weighed about 3300 pounds according to my engineers calculations I only removed the drywall ceiling 4' on front and back and 2' on sides to access hurricane straps to remove them

ProKar 4 post 8000 lb lift I had 2 trusses engineered to hold the roof and centered lift in garage and bolted down I repositioned the lift after roof was lifted. only 1 lift the garage is 16 X 24 I also had the 4 corners of the wall buikt and ready to go up as soon as it was lifted. also lots of cross bracing on the 2 trusses on the lift and also strapped the trusses down to the lift and attached to existing roof trusses to keep from moving

I have 8' studs and want to replace with 10' or 12' on a 14x24 detached garage. Would it be possible to put let's say a 2 post lift nj the middle and position the arms over 2 lvl beams to raise? Thanks

I didn't know you need to have it facing in. With limited room on the left side, that may make it difficult to pull axles out on that side. Are most hoists limited to "nose in" configuration? What brand of hoist are you using there?

It's great to have your own hoist makes work a lot easier. You'l have the bring the Acadian down to the Thursday night cruise nights at the new A&W by the new Walmart.
