I have not tried hypnotherapy. The only thing I know (or have heard) about it is that you have to believe in it for it to work, so it totally works on some people and for others it doesn't do anything. For instance, my boyfriend and his mom both tried hypnotherapy to quit smoking - it didn't work for him but it worked wonders for his mom! What's also nice about hypnotherapy is that you can pay for one appointment and they will most likely record a CD or DVD for you to take home and keep listening to...much different than regular talk therapy where they recommend going once a week as long as it takes for you to begin to improve.
