just a little something. I don't know what it is, sorry хD *SPOILERS ALERT* I watched this episode at the cinema and this was gorgeous. Aaaand CAPALDI!
God, the 9th Doctor is so tragic... I got chills at "I watched it happen. I
MADE it happen." just because, of all the revived series incarnations, he
really didn't know what happened and yet he was hurt the most.
Honestly, it just makes me appreciate his run even more.
Moffat did a Interview about the recent series which touches apron the DotD"Gallifrey and the events of the Time War are supposed to be held in a Time Lock, preventing the Doctor's return. However, in The Day of the Doctor, the Moment not only unlocked those events, she allowed them to change."He remembers both versions when he gets near to the end of his regeneration cycle.
I expected Gallifrey to be more " ALIEN " inside the globed cities. Other
than that, the special was interesting. I just wish we didn't have to wait
until Fall 2014 for Capaldi's time as the Doctor to start.
+Daniel Appleton If you want alien Gallifrey, Classic episode called "the invasion of time" starring Tom Baker is set almost exclusively on Gallifrey, inside the city. It is brilliantly alien.
+fbiuzzI'll take this on faith. It's like showing a Vulcan family eating pizza in Star Trek or Jor - El & Lara in " Superman " playing billiards or air hockey on Krypton before they have to send baby Kal El to earth. You don't expect to see tires & hubcaps on an advanced alien world with a different society like Gallifrey.
Well considering the Time Lords face several centuries of war. Most of the "ALIEN" part was probably destroyed. Also we only scene the outside of the globed cities. It was probably bigger on the inside like the Tardis but was destroyed kinda like what happen on Trenzelore.
Doctor Who - The Day of the Doctor Official Soundtrack Full
The complete soundtrack for The Day of the Doctor The Time of the Doctor Complete Soundtrack ...
+BackertheHacker The bit that starts at 48:32 is part of 'This Time There's Three Of Us' but is a variation of 'The Majestic Tale' and the track at 52:44 is 'Home' which is part of the last track 'Song For Four'
+theguylambert To answer your question, I do own the soundtrack and having spoken to the people who publish the CDs, they are fine with the soundtrack being uploaded as long as they aren't monetised which I obviously haven't done.

One thing I don't understand about this epic episode. If they had Billie
Piper and David Tennant, why not just bring her in as Rose? It would have
been interesting, seeing Eleven interact with Ten and Rose...
+Sam Butcher The focus was on The Doctor and the decision he had to make. Bad Wolf was just used as the avatar for conscience of The Moment to guide him through so why not?
+Tristan Elliot Palmer I don't agree. It would have opened up many more possibilities and possibly more of a antagonistic plot and it probably would have made the special so much better. Aswell as if Moffat had a different main alien baddy. The Zygons were only put in a single episode then never heard from again for a reason. Sorry if this is a bit ranty just thought I'd give my point of view.
+Notebook3164 I think it would've disrupted the story too much if they had to have an awkward Eleven interacting with her and either not being over her (which would spoil Matt's Doctor entirely) or have her getting over the fact that when he regenerated he got over her. They wrapped her story up anyway so to bring her character back, even for the anniversary, would have been pointless. Yeah, fan-service, she's back but apart from that she'd have been in the way. It was the Doctor's story. That was the whole point of the episode.
Rose was an invention of Russell T Davies. This entire episode was a bitch slap by Mofett towards Davies. It wouldn't have helped if they cast Billie as that pink and yellow idiot.
DOCTOR WHO 50TH - 9 recalls the Time war ( RE-CUT ) Day of the Doctor
Another 50th alternative concept recut of mine. If the War Doctor had not existed, 9 recalls the time war with 10 & 11. The footage was from Chris Eccleston ...
They should have let the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann) become the War Doctor
and age him then have McGann act alongside Tennant and Smith as the War
Doctor. I love John Hurt, he's a phenomenal actor but I think McGann's
Eighth Doctor should have been allowed to finish his reign in style as John
Hurt did in his place. Just my opinion.
+JJ Pryer Well, it was a lot easier to pull off when there were only like 7 channels and 40 shows XD. Actors weren't that hard to convince to come take a paycheck.
I believe it should have been 9 actually. 8 wasn't as brash as 9. But also, the War Doctor's time with the Moment in the actual episode was so he could see what his decision would do to him. Obviously they glossed over the 9th Doctor, not even mentioning him. Logically, it would have been the 9th Doctor looking at his next-of-kin, being 10 and 11. And Eccleston was actually offered the role but turned it down. Man, that would've been incredible, if he came back to be in the role as that War Doctor. But I do agree that 8 deserved more time. If 9 were the War Doctor, then 8's story and involvement is pretty much moot, but imagine if they did somehow manage to do a multi-Doctor story with 8, 9, 10 and 11? Or, if we still had Hurt's War Doctor in there, we could have 5 Doctors! That would've been insane. Damn, I so wish these stories existed.
