Let me just say this ..WHEN people are clever enough and devoted enough and
thorough as they can be , in bringing YOU LOT and myself , the Truth as far
as they know it ,then they are doing all they can .
And until and not before you can do as well yourself ( me I definitely
cannot ) then you should all be appreciate , because somone has taken the
time to try his best to keep you ( and me informed )
I made the mistake of critisizing Sus0 myself one time , only to swallow my
hasty words later because I was well out of order
Think twice , before you shoot the messenger
+mrloferlofer the cause of that proton wave of course. Filaments are less energetic than flares, this could explain, why we saw only LE protons in this wave...:)
+mrloferlofer //www.swpc.noaa.gov/rt_plots/GOEShp.gif//www.swpc.noaa.gov/rt_plots/Electron.gifI'm not talking about 2005. but about all cases, which happened in last months...
+mrloferlofer I don't argue with this, BUT the fact, that there suppose to be High Energy prortons - like it was before...//www.swpc.noaa.gov/ace/Sis_24h.gif//www.swpc.noaa.gov/rt_plots/Proton.gifBesides the HE proton waves from flares never caused magnetic disturbances on GOES graphs...
+mrloferlofer THX! Very nice article. But I knew, that Solar Wind is different from wind, here on Earth. Solar Wind is an electromagnetic force and different forces shape it - like polarity or direction of current flow. Heavier ions carry bigger energies. If the direction of propagations changes the current flow, part of energy can be unleashed - this could explain those differences :)
+mrloferlofer The stream was emitted before - it takes couple days for it to reach Earth. The umbral fields affect Earth-Sun connections, but the Fast Wind is emitted anyway...
+Hook Echo Also, before the protons made a nice smooth wave and this one looks like a wall... Other thing - the HE protons from magnetic connections didn't affect the magnetometers and electron flux on GOES - this wave is different...BTW: shouldn't we expect a Fast CH Wind stream?
+Hook Echo THX! This should explain this case. But there's one problem - before, all the time, when the flares affected us directly, there was a wave of high energy protons (on both ACE and GOES), while the low energy protons on ACE were unaffected. This time it is absolutely opposite. Notice as well, that 1MeV protons on ACE don't corelate with GOES protons at the same energy band...
A Geiger Counter and Ionizing Radiation From Citizen Scientist Collected Seawater Samples
We used a Geiger counter to examine ionizing radiation counts per minute in the laboratory owing to background radioactivity, the concentrated natural and man ...
+curtis wright There could be a danger to health by keeping a sample like the uraninite in an enclosed, unventilated storage area where Radon being generated by decay might build up and be inhaled. Similarly inhaling particles shed from that sample could be quite dangerous (hence the bag). I was quite cautious when handling the uraninite. There is useful information here https://www.unitednuclear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_15
