Depends where you're talking about. Have you considered they receive the most support BECAUSE they're the poorest? Centuries of murder and racial oppression will do that to ya! Using the UK as an example, Maggie Thatcher sold off all the public housing (the Tories deliberately ran down). Now there's a massive waiting list for social housing caused by the housing market being wildly inflated, people have no choice but to pay ridiculous rents, & yet 100s of thousands of properties remain vacant.

What do you define as "before welfare"? Don't you think that's a bit of a vague term? Also, a quick Google search brought up an academic paper discussing black poverty. It fell slowly by 2% from 68-1980, and then skyrocketed up 4% between 80 and 82 under Reagan. It was back down to 68 levels in 1990 before going back to 82 levels under Bush, then back down to pre-Reagan levels under "tax and spend" Clinton, and then back up again under Bush, and is still rising. Notice a pattern here?

Black unemployment before welfare and affirmative action was lower than white unemployment. In the south, you could not find a single white construction worker. Black people were over represented in industry. Since welfare and affirmative action, the amount of black unemployment in the youth has skyrocketed to 40%. Explain that please.. When in the peak of Jim Crow laws and racism, there was lower unemployment then today with welfare and affirmative action.....

Of course, Friedman would conveniently take credit for China's economic success and improved standards of living when they adopted his policies...but would fail to mention the fact they adopted a massive public housing programme that it wouldn't have succeeded without. And maybe public housing is in such a shit state because governments adopted HIS policies and stopped fucking funding them? And people are still worshiping this charlatan?

Arguing from a position of compassion vs. from fact is not a winning strategy. It's so sad how little much of our public FAILS to see how wrong their opinions are, and that they are so smug in their 'support' - because they pay for it mostly out of confiscated taxes - for policies and programs that hurt those they wish to help.

Public housing has always been a shit state. Look at the native americans. John stossel did a great piece on it. They receive the most funding, land, and handouts than any other group yet they are still the poorest. On paper they should be the richest, but no. Why you ask? The same principle of public housing applies.

Question. Are all mainspring housing pin holes or the pins equal? My new main spring housing pin is not going in as easy as the old ....actually I can't get it in at all. It's an upgrade ss pack.

+bristol1312 There are slight tolerances between parts and who makes them. You may have to remove metal on the new part in some cases. Compare the two and see what is different.
