I think IQ has a stronger correlation than poverty when looking at crime rates. Low IQ has a strong correlation to both crime and poverty. Poor education and dysfunctional families lead to lower IQ, this could be the cause of poverty and high crime.

We have words that accurately and specifically describe "systems of disadvantage based on race”, like "the transatlantic slave trade” and “slavery in america”, etc. We don’t need to conflate the meaning of “racism” and obscure the distinction between acts of racial prejudice and systems of racial prejudice. The term “racism” already describes a very specific form of prejudice and we have other very specific terms to describe specific systems of racism. Matt, I was with you until you started talking about valuing some people's experiences over others. You make two faulty assumptions: 1. That all white people have the same cultural perspective. 2. That when talking about systemic racism, individual experience actually has value. You yourself dismissed individual racism on the grounds that we were talking about systemic racism. If we are indeed talking about systemic racism, why is it that you always go back to individual perspectives?
