1956 F100 "Snakebit" SEMA 2013
A F100 that was at the Ford display at SEMA 2013...."Snakebit" a collaboration between Gene Simmons,Shannon Tweed, and Ford. This truck will be auctioned ...
just want everyone to know. this truck was never owned by gene simmons or
Shannon tweed. They endorsed it. Ford sponsored part of it and supplied the
engine. the owner of this truck was Tom Foster from Saskatoon Saskatchewan
who owns a machine and weld shop called industrial machine, where a lot of
this trucks components were created. I machined the rims, bed liner, and
grills. It was auctioned off at Barret Jackson for the Children's Hospital
in Saskatchewan. A man from Prince Albert Saskatchewan purchased it.
Ford had nothing to do with the car and doesn't own it. A bunch of people
in Saskatoon built it. Gene Simmons is helping with the auction only
because his wife was raised in Saskatoon. He doesn't own the car either. He
just heard about what we are doing and wanted to help. The money raised
from the auction (which was $450,00) is going towards a children's hospital
here.
You sound pissed off at Ford and Gene Simmons?....and I'm sure glad it brought $450,000 not $450....I don't have a dog in the hunt.....but I would be thanking all involved in promoting and selling this truck...instead of bitching...imho
