Video of the brand new 2008 Hummer H3 going off road. For car reviews, videos, and one of the oldest and largest car communities on the Internet visit ...
@asianboi1216 i never said that a wrangler could beat an h1. i said that a
wrangler would straight up smack an h2 and an h3 offroading. i love jeeps
but an h1 is hard to beat. but i guess your one of the rich bitches that
can afford an h1 and want to pick on people that cant afford one. but what
can i say jeeps are way more fun to drive. you wanna know why there fun to
drive is because you can use it as a daily driver and a beast at
offroading. i would love to hear someone say that about an h1
2:21 bad flex. i kept expecting the course to get rougher, but it never
did. we have primary roads in worse condition then that course. definatly
not a very good test area. i would wheel a H1 any day, but the rest of the
hummer line seems to be luxury SUVs. don't get me wrong, any car with the
right mods can do nearly anything. but i'd rather wheel a toyota camery
than an H3. he seemed to be pointing out the paint job a lot, but as you
may imagine, paint does not last long on the trail.
Jeeps look like Cracker Jack boxes with oversized wheels, Hummers are much
more family friendly, much more appealing in style, can go from off roading
to directly on the highway much smoother with a smoother ride, don't have
to modify the shite out of em to get around some rocks, good in any
weather... not just good in a fucking desert or Rocky's. There all around
good at everything, not to mention much safer..so fuck Jeep.
They should do a shootout with the hummer and the 4 door rubicon for real
not tie a cam to the runningboards to make it look like it is doing big off
roading.I live in the mountains and these behemoths break in the trails all
the time. They like to make people believe they are h 1's but folks they are
pavement girl trucks. All the hummers here are mostly driven by socker moms
with grow op money.
I have an 06 H3 with high profile aftermarket tires and a skidplate, and I
fucking LOVE that vehicle, but this is not offroading. This embarrasses the
h3. Offroading is more than just driving off the road. pffht. Also, you
children need to quit being assholes. Sure, your jeep is pretty and good
for offroading, but it doesnt come close to leaving the hummers in the
dust. grow some balls.
You all don't know what the f-ck you are talking about. Not an off-road
vehicle!? Did you just miss the video you just watched? I didn't see any
pavement. I have been to the top of mountains in mine! It has 4x4,
clearance and a v-8. What the f-!? We had a jacked up cj-7 jeep when I was
a kid. I'm sure the cj-7 could go some places my h3 couldn't but i'd choose
my ride any day!!

@asianboi1216 well no shit. usually no one drives an h1 for a daily but if
it makes you feel special then good for you. the reason it turns heads is
because no one ever see's one on the road. but if you put a 6in lift and 35
or 37inch tires on a wrangler that will also turn heads
You see, it is not serious off roading, did you see the Tuareg at 2:26? If
that car can do it, then that H3 is not doing great thing....Anyway, I
think the H3 is nothing great, I can do more with a simple Hilux or L200
(Triton), without needing that big inefficient V8 engine.
yeah my cherokee only gets 21... but it only weighs like 3200 lbs if I get
suck (which rarely happens) quick tuck by anything out in the pits and i'm
out. This thing is like 5000lbs hehe.. weight and IFS is the only thing
holding me back atm. Otherwise I like the h3's.
Does anyone out there have any statisics on hummer related deaths?
Rollover, collisions and such? I want to compile a list, then visit each
grave and piss on them. With all due respect of course. Fvck Hummer owners.
@Mazzakre39 Youve gotta remember that this guy dosent own the hummer there
for he dosent want to break it / buy it. The way we offroad in american
is...... check out Ileagal wheeling videos, :)
you call THAT OFF-roading!! im not buying anything from you because you
seem to know about about offroading H3=Mall H2=Off-road H1=WAR I'd rather
get a Jeep grand wrangler or something lol
Rubicon? Hell I have a 89 K5 Blazer I bought for a winter vehicle that will
walk all over this playtoy. This thing is essentialy a tampon dispenser on
wheels for the new yuppie generation
i have seen the H3 V6 do way more than what they were showing. there is no
need to buy the V8. This guy talks way to much about the engine and nothing
about the actual hummer.
that´s not off road i can do that with my 2007 honda civic get a real off
road vehicle like nissan patrol or the 2008 new land cruiser i say that
because i have both of them
a freelander offroads better than that piece of shite get a landy or jeep
not this over priced gas guzzling.i cant beleive it has leaf springs its
not a pickup truck its.
thats like any rural road in costa rica and here we didnt need a h3 junk to
go to that roads and any suzuki grand vitara could go across that with half
or less mpg
the hummer is the shittiest car , they have balls to call it a 4wd car, its
too heavy and 300 hp and 320 lb. from the v8 is defiantly not enough for
offroading
learn how to? and i know its not a challenge at all, a 2wd can prolly make
it up if they hit it hard enough. i have gone through foot and half water
already and much steeper hills i have just bought that 2 days ago before
the video was made so i was taking it easy
that's about how I was my first time off roading my H3. You'll gain more
experience and be surprised and what your H3 is capable of, and you'll put
it through much more challenging terrain
They actually share the same frame as the chevy colorado and gmc canyon..
which are smaller than a Tahoe frame. Also the 3.7l engine is most similar
to the engine in the chevy trailblazer, but the trailblazer has a I6
instead of I5. The H3 is actually a pretty decent off roader, just look at
videos such as this one, most vehicle would just lose all traction in that
type of mud and water. So stop discriminating between Hummers and Jeeps,
they are both very nice off road vehicles.
@leafsaregod appreciate teh clarification. the 2 is a bit of a frankenstein
if you will. not a bad thing, but its own thing. im not against the 2 or
teh 3 even. but i see those who by the 3 or 2 expecting it to perform like
the 1. and drive it as such. and those are sadly mistaken. they can in a
way, but have to drive it offroad KNOWING what they are driving. teh 2's
and 3's will never have the ground clearance teh alphas have
@yamahonkawazuki No Prob. I agree with you about the 1. However, some
vehicles could do better on a trail with different drivers. Sometimes its
not the truck, its the driver that sucks. You could have a totally tricked
out and lifted H1 or Rubicon and still get stuck with a moron behind the
wheel.
@yamahonkawazuki 3's are not rebadged Tahoes at all. I don't know how that
whole thing started. The H3 is on the GMT355 platform, which before (and
still is) was the Canyon and Colorado. The Tahoe is on the GMT400. Both
trucks have different drivetrains.
@yamahonkawazuki The H2 is based on a Tahoe and Yukon frame. Those trucks
were constructed in 3 differnet plants though. The front frame is a
modified GM 2500 series and the rear is a modified GM 1500 series which has
been upgraded for the H2 and SUT.
I've pulled out a lot of things that get stuck. anywhere from a lifted f
350 to a stock 4x4 Cherokee, and a Cadillac CTS, its all about the driver,
cause my 2.5 liter jeep Wrangler on 31s is nothing spectacular, that's for
sure.
@leafsaregod i stand corrected. my apologies. teh 2 what is it based upon?,
i know hte 1 the alpha if you will, is its own beast, not really based upon
anything
The new alpha add a lots of power with similar fuel consumption. More
stability, etc. This is one of fewest 4x4 that you really feels the power
when driving it.
