I had a drift s it was the worst camera I've ever had ! it kept crashing and losing the video, Now it just won't charge because of the socket inside is loose. Not even that impressive quality wise, I mean the Polaroid xs100 shits all over it on video quality and the Polaroid is like £100. I'm happy with my garmin virb and my GoPro hero 4 on the handle bars / chest

Have you tried removing the 4 little screws holding the lense cover on?, looks like some moisture has gotten in side, if you get it off you can dry out any moisture that's got inside of the lense.

It's tough trying to pic cameras especially multi use ones. I have the Sony action cam which as a helmet cam is amazing one of the best by far. But as a vlogging camera it's crap due to the mic input requirements. However I think a number of action cameras have issues with mic attachments and waterproofness (totally a word...) as you said the drift has issues when you want to use the mic, so does the Sony, so does go pro. One of them needs to make a case that fits both the camera and allows a fully waterproof mic fitment as well!
