Very nice and crisp video, but wasted on the ugliest Supersports bike to
leave Japan's shores in 2012. There's nothing 'sports' about that bike.
Looks like shite. Yamaha the best, then Kawasaki and Honda. Suzuki needs a
new bike designer, and I'm right here folks.
Please Suzuki... bring back the 06-07 looked way more sleek and modern than
this design... the 08-10 looks kind of like a bird and is the worst...
though the 11-13 is alright though and is kind of growing on me, kinda
looks like my old GS500F front.

SET Valve Mod on 2007 / 2008 Suzuki GSXR 1000
This is how to disable the exhaust SET valve on 2007 / 2008 Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorcycles.
This is for those who want more throtle response and more flow, i just did
this my bike the other day and it works amazing no joke its the real deal.
Okay so make sure u disconect your Battery and your ECU then take all the
set valve cables appart etc... MAKE SURE YOU CUT PIN # 30 BLACK BROWN
GREEN... Make sure you cut the pin OR YOU WILL GET A F1 LIGHT CODE c46 aka
SET Valve Failure. Great Video Man I Will Try To Make An HD One ....
my exhaust is still connected. how are you 100% sure that the EXCVA is in
the "Full Open" position before cutting the wire. I dont want to take the
slip on off and check it. But I do kno there is a certain position it sets
in while off. Normally when you shut off your bike the EXCVA is set in the
idle position. So when you shut off the bike its still in that position. Or
am i wrong?
You can just unplug that harness and pull the wire out. Once you figure out
how to un clip the the wire from the coupler you will never clip a wire
again! Plus if you want to go back to stock no one but you will ever know.
I have y pipe and dual krtuned system and must say there was no seat of
pants gain but I will say the bike sounds much better . Dont cut wires
people.
@Norvell07 I mis-read your question, sorry. you do not need to remove the
cables for the valve if you don't want to. Once you cut the wire it renders
the servo and cables useless. I removed the whole servo assembly as well as
the actual metal valve inside the header, but not the arm the valve pivots
on. No specific reason than just to do it.
hi, i dont know if you can help, i have a k7 750 with full akra exhaust +
headers, power commander and quick shifter but the fi light is on. it was
like this when i bought it but the previous owner didnt know how to turn it
off. do i need to do this modification or can i just fit a dynojet oxygen
sensor eliminator? they are only £20. thanks
The wire indicated in this video is incorrect at-least for UK specs K8 GSXR
1000's. The wire you need to cut is on the top row not the bottom and it is
the fifth wire from the left when facing the exhaust. The wire is black
with a white lane and green dots. Once doing this the engine light and FI
light will go off
@movicoboy43 It may solve your FI issue not 100% sure. Make sure you cut
the wire when the valve is open. To do this remove your pipe so all you
have is the stock header pipe. Turn the key on and off with the start
switch left on. watch for when the valve is open and cut the wire at this
time.
hi i got gixxer750 k1 got same problem fi light crap i disconted the servo
motor on k1 750 or y there is another set thoutle boddies yea sam shit but
in the air box anyway cant find that wire hoping it be same as the later
modles nd 1000s i hav go tommow nice vid simples
Hey, you wouldn't happen to know if the wire positions for a k6 750 would
be the same would you? I've been trying to figure out how to get rid of my
fI code after I removed my SET valve, but haven't been able to confirm
which wire it actually is.
I did this to my gsxr 1000 k7 with a m4 exhaust. Ok I'm having this issue
with mine when I turn of my bike the dashboard or gauges are still on the
bike doesn't start but having the gauges on kills my battery any help will
help
I've got a 2008 GSXR 1000... Question is... the Black/White (green dots)
wire we pull... what does it do? ie: What does that wire stop something
from doing... I checked the Service Manual... it seems to suggest Injector
#3?!!
hi i have a 2008 gsxr 600 full m4 exhaust and power commander v and i did
this and my light is still on.. i don't know if you can help but worth a
shot please let me know if there's anything else i can do thanks
@mmdodge1 Yes it will work on ANY Suzuki with a SET valve. The important
thing is to find out the proper wire to cut for your year & model. This mod
works for 07-08 1000's only.
Hey I have a 07 Gsxr 1000 with a Roaringtoyz slip on after about 4 months
after being on my F1 came on sobwould this fix this problem also would it
be open when I cut this wire
@joshtex77 Hi josh i have a 1000 k3 if i found out witch wire to cut would
it work for my model/year? or do i have to then get it set up for the fuel
and air mixture
Works like a champ. Just sniped the black and white wire, taped up the end
with electrical tape and fired her up. No more backfiring. Response feels
about the same.
