This is a review of the Grand Bahia Principe Resort located in Run-A-Way Bay Jamaica. My visit was on June 7-11th. Referencing contacts w/ in the video ...
+Kelle Thorpe Well, no... not really. Unless there was an area that I was unaware of, other than the entertainment described in the video, on the resort, there was no other night lift. I'm sure there is night life elsewhere on the island. I'd inquire w/ your agent or hotel support. Hope this helps. Also, hope you have a good time if you choose to go:)
Thank you for this review. It was really informative, finally I found
someone who didn't have all negatives to say about the property. I'm a
resident here in Jamaica and was looking for a nice place to take my mom
for her sixty and was considering Bahia. Now that I know a bit more about
the place I can now make my decision. Thanx again.
Hello - Thanks so much for the review - My wife and I are travelling for
the first time to Jamaica in several weeks and after reading the reviews
were concerned if we made the right choice. Your review is perfect -
exactly what we are looking for and put our minds at ease. Curious what the
cost was for your taxi excursion with Pam to Dunn Falls and area/ and cost
offered at the resort - on average what is the amount one should tip -
Thanks again.
+Steve Tanner Hello. Glad you enjoyed the review and very happy to be of assistance. In terms of the pricing, the hotel / resort charges (or did at our time of visit) 55.00 per person to go to the falls (Dunns River)-ONLY. I'll be more than happy to share Pam's rate if you email me directly @ [email protected]. The important thing to note here is that Pam took us other places than Dunns River. As well, she was very knowledgeable of the island; as she is a resident and native. She took us to eat, shop and sight see after we completed the falls. She knows when vessels are arriving and will guide you accordingly for the best experience. For example, she advised us to go to the falls in the a.m. since the Oasis/Royal Caribbean ship would arrive later that morning. As a result, we arrived at the opening of the falls and were the only people on the falls for 1.5 hrs. As we were leaving, many tour buses were arriving carrying lots of people... my point, she was well aware of what the best experience would be for us and guided us accordingly. She took us to sight see, ie., Mick Jagger's house, Ocho Rios, buy gifts/souvenirs... etc... and never once rushed us or asked for more money. She was awesome!
+Real Bro Thanks for the feedback sir. Glad you enjoyed and happy to be of assistance. You must keep me posted should you visit this property and how you liked it.
